Spring was such a great time! The only time when those 3 Gymnocalyciums decided to grow buds and bloom in the same time.
The biggest one of them keeps blooming, but the rest seem to pick a season and then they are done.
Honestly... I could shoot those cactus buds every time they show up, even though they look the same each time. Out of all those furry, rounds, small and big ones, those are my favourite. Because of the shape and those little scales that look like some little dwarf glued them there.
See the small one in the bottom right corner? It is a few months old baby cactus I grew from a seed from one of those.
It is gonna take about 2-3 tears to get to the size of a grown up plant.
Yep, they are still in those crappy, white pots that basically fall apart whenever I try to lift them. I just hope they last few more months. It really hot now I wouldn't want to repot all the poor cacti now. Would prefer to wait till early spring with that.
Just don't touch then and they should be fine (even though I saw one cactus cracked the whole pot half with its roots).

Yup, those plastic pots are crappy... nothing like the old fashioned clay pots my mum had... Unfortunately, they mostly sell crappy pots only these days... 🤨
I have nice clay pots, but they dry out too fast. The plastic ones are better. Just not the white ones. They suck big time!
The orange ones are much better.
