First Fortune Cookie + rambling
In the end all your efforts will pay off.
I’ve never had a fortune cookie before so I was pretty darn excited about getting one when I ordered Chinese food today.
I’m not big on motivational quotes but I guess this is a good one and I do believe that hard work pays off. I’m always wanting to improve myself and my skillsets on many different areas of life.
Improving and learning is never a waste, even though you might not always see the results immediately. Think of it kinda like a Slumdog Millionaire -type of situation where you just pick up on random facts along your life and then you get to put them to use in the Who Wants to be a Millionaire, but about more than just money.
I’m currently working on a little video here and pretty much ripping my hair off out of frustration. Kudos to anyone who can shoot and edit videos that look nice and flow well to the music. Video editing is super hard, and I already know mine won’t be anythind mind blowing but I wanna try something. I also know that no matter what the end result is, I’ve already learned a lot. All of it might be useful somewhere in the future.
If I don’t throw my laptop off the balcony today, you’ll see a video of my shoes and feet somewhere in the near future.

I think they only give you those if you order takeout, cause I've eaten at that restaurant maaaany times and never before gotten a cookie.

It can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but so can many things that one still loves. Good luck on your editing. Hope to see the end result because that means you are not one laptop poorer.
Oh lord, even the video shooting is quite nerve racking and my camera was just still at on point the whole time. Movie makers are magicians. There is like a million and one things that you need to consider, that is way more than just for a photograph.
If I even feel like shooting some artistic video clips, I'll send them over to you and you can play with them! :D
Did I mention I also love video shooting? I do. But that doesn't mean I'm any good at it. I just love it.
Oh yes! That would be fun! If I'm allowed to do what ever I want to. Then it's fun. :D
I've shot and edited few wedding videos in my life and that was a pain in the ass. First you have to talk the bride out of the idea: "We want three versions, first of them has all the footage, second is like an hour long and third can be short... like 15 minutes. And it needs to have every guest in it, except you can't show grampa after seven, he was too drunk. And you can only show my right side or from the front, never my left side. Actually, try to avoid the lady in the pink dress (most have pink because it's fashionable), I don't like her. And can you add my favourite music and freeze the most beautiful scenery or perhaps you should talk to our photographer and get them scan some photos for you to the video... and birds singing did you record that?"
So shooting, editing and directing everything is fun. :D
I never ever wanna work in weddings, doing anything. People watch too much "reality" tv and pinterest and spend too little money for what they think they want their wedding to be.
Put into that perspective, I'm sure video editing where you are in full control feels like a blast! :D I'll definitely keep you in mind for future video clips, I think that could be quite a fun collaboration :)
Exactly! They do not understand that with this amount of time and money you get this. But if you give more time and money, you get this, which is better that the package that was cheaper.
