The last one appears as if you've impaled the butcher knife and now you are standing back and admiring your work :)

Is your vanity an instrument of narcissism?
I feel that's the deep question you were asking.
Those two words are often synonymous but are philosophically different.
To be vain implies other thoughts in relation to the self and outer representation. Where as narcissism is devoid of any kind of appreciation of others understanding of you and therefore less introspective.
I say you're not being vain because there's no disunity between yourself and the opinions of other. I this way you have a deep appreciation of aesthetics, the fine things.

absolutely right - i love to post more my works taken in a portrait orientation but all them looks too strange in thumbnails
