- Vice President Mike Pence spoke out on Sunday about why he left a football game between the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers, the same day it emerged that former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick reportedly is planning on standing for the national anthem if given a chance to play football in the NFL again.

"I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem," Pence tweeted.
It is the right of the Nation Felons League to be unpatriotic...it is the right of patriots not to support them.

The National Felons League is NOT patriotic. Are those who give them money any more so?
We will have to wait and see if Trump and Pence really do stand up for their beliefs, or if they let the media and congressional pressure get to them. Can you see it now, the super bowl victors for the first time since the tradition started not being invited to a white house dinner. If that happens then yes Trump and Pence would be seen as true men of their word.
Absent some major turn-around on the part of the National Felons League I very much doubt that they will be invited.
Traditions are a hard thing to give up. Congress may not let them give it up. We will see. They do seem to have the ability to stand for what they really believe.
What control does Congress have over who the President invites to have dinner with him?
Last I heard the Rinos...er...I mean the Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate.
I don't think they get to pick who comes to dinner, but they can put pressure on them, not much because most of them wear pansy waisted petticoats. As is shown by the complete lack of any significant accomplishments in the last 30 years other than screwing up and trying to do away with the middle class.
