Beach Therapy at Ibeno

Last Saturday, I had a memorable day at Ibeno Beach. A group of friends and I decided to visit Ibeno Beach to see and admire nature. We left from Uyo around 11 pm while it was still sunny. A few minutes outside the outskirts of Uyo, we saw a dark cloud, which was later followed by a heavy downpour of rain. Our journey was then slowed down because the driver had to drive slowly so as to ensure the safety of everyone in the bus.
After an hour had passed, we got to the beach around 1pm; good enough, the rain had stopped.

Immediately after I got off the bus, I could feel a cool breeze from the bus, and for this, I decided to wear a long, black-sleeved vest under my shirt to reduce the amount of the cool breeze. Everyone felt cold, and it was amazing how cold the waterside can be. We then walked to theshore of the beach to admire the tide. I saw something incredible, something I have only seen on TV—seashells.

Then the rain began to fall again, and we ran under shade.

While the rain lasted, we decided to take a break and eat the food we brought. I ate fried rice and plantain and also drank palm wine.
After the rain subsided, we decided to play football and volleyball amongst ourselves. We also took pictures, lots of pictures, and also played games to get to know ourselves better.
I later got to hang out with friends, and we got to talk and laugh at our stories.

When it was a few minutes past 6pm, we decided to package our loads together so we could go.
Before leaving, we decided to takae apicture of everyone who came around, both young and old. Thereafter, we said a short prayer to God before we set off on our journey
