Up to Rašica tower and back home around the hill

I just finished a 15.272km running that lasted about 1hh:54mm:11ss !


Sunday morning. Since we are at home it is prudent to take the opportunity for a morning run up my home hill of Rašica. Before eight I went out in a misty morning. I followed the right ridge above the Magpie's valley in an easy tempo towards the village of Rašica. Then I took the tarmac road up to the top and climbed the tower.

The photos show you the conditions of the run. Moist, foggy, satisfied.

On the way back down I took the longer option and followed the tarmac road around the hill. Then I took the second downhill into the valley and sprinted back home in under two hours. Just in time for the family breakfast.

Excellent! It felt great since this was my first and last longish workout run of the month. Isn't it interesting how you can run short and flat and slow runs all the time and then venture on a 35 kilometers long run hike over the mountains? I should write a book titled How (not) to train for a (mountain) marathon. :)
