Reflections

Reflection photography is something I've been neglecting for quite some time. I love reflections and should do more photos, especially now that the sun is shining again almost every day.

I remember, last year we had a fellow steemian running a black and white contest and one time reflections was the topic of the contest. The competition was pretty tough as there were many excellent entries. Having a strong competition is the best thing that can happen to you as you have to do the best you can to have a chance.

I was among the winners, I believe I came second and won another round where wood print was the theme.

Unfortunately the user is not active any more and I haven't seen any reflection photo competitions since then.

Water is a perfect surface to reflect an image but there are conditions that makes a photo great. This is a water barrel for collecting rain water at it's the best for watering flowers. When the barrel is almost full, you can get a nice reflection of what is above of the barrel.

At this time of the year the walnut tree has no leaves yer, only a few buds, thus the branches are clearly visible. The weather was clear and lucky me, there was a white cloud in the mix, so here it is, the almost perfect reflection on the surface of a calm water.

I tried to make a black and white version but it's not so great. Usually the details are more clearly visible on a black and white photo but not in this case.

Anyway, I think I need to pay more attention to reflections from now on.
