Independence Memorial Hall in sri lanka

Hello steemit friends today i will talk about special place in my country .it name is independence memorial hall.

Independence memorial hall situated in colombo .i t' s made under the british rule.it is fully make by rock. Hall is not covered, fully open four side. So many people come to visit independence hall.

Work began on Feb. 4, 1949, to build it. It was then noted on a monument that it had been completed by 1953. It is currently maintained by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. That land area is 10,000 square feet. The engineer responsible for its completion was Tom Neville Wynne-Jones.

Many foreigners and locals visit this monument. This monument perfectly reflects the Sri Lankan dignity. This place has also been chosen to celebrate Independence Day at certain times.

This monument is artistically very high. Even the carvings are made of stone. The wood is almost never used. In that beautiful environment, there is not a day that is not full of people every day.

The government has appointed security committees and staff to protect it for future generations and to ensure that its beauty is not compromised.
