[Motorcycle Blog] The Lofoten Islands. Norway. Part#3
We had a morning ritual called breakfast. Again folding the tent and tamping things over the saddlebags. Probably, these are the most dreary parts of the trip. But no, I'm lying: the most dreary is to put on all the equipment in the heat of +30C. Do you like the feeling of sauna underneath, huh?
And now we are ready to get on the road again, sayinggoodbye to David, he still remains for a day - he goes to a whale safari. And we are going to Moskenez, towards the ferry to Bodø.
We've decided to drive on the outer part of the island, for which it was necessary to make a small detour, to admire the coast. Yeah, admired. A couple of kilometers to the coast, our gaze was presented to the phenomenon I had never seen before. Clouds descending from the mountain (well, such a thing I saw) to the ground, and crawling along it (but this one I've has never seen, just fascinating).
A couple of tens of kilometers of such a road, and a gap appeared in the sky (or rather - the road began to go again in the opposite direction from the sea). And again - the sun, warm and light. And just in the distance - just like a cloud of clouds crawling across the sky and the earth like a flat front.
On 82 road we reached the town of Melbu, where we loaded onto the ferry. From the ferry rolled out in the direction of the road E10. The most beautiful road on the Lofoten started, probably, from there. I did not even want to take pictures, I wanted to go and soak up these landscapes together with the superfresh sea air.
After the bridge in the village of Sundklakk, we turned from E10 to the left, on the 815 road (a lorry, as I call them). The beauty of this track is difficult to describe. She walks along the coast, curving with very technical turns, each with a new spectacular view.
At some point our path left the sea, climbed a small (about 500 meters) pass, and dived off into the valley, where the town of Leknes settled.
In the city we again rolled out on E10, which we should have already reached to Moskenez. The route again went along the sea, skirting the lagoons and delighting our gaze.
Made it to Moskenes, and even got stuck in a little traffic jams on its narrow "one and a half" street (at least E10 is a highway and is wide, but in the city itself streets are narrow, and even the camper does not depart from the usual car). At the exit from the town they got into a traffic jam, a new tunnel was being built there. A few kilometers later, the navigator led us to Moskenes dock, from where ferries to Bodø go. According to the reports read, I remembered that the queue for the ferry was not that fast there, and, it happens, not everyone gets to it. After dismounting and changing clothes, the sun was frying with the whole might), I've went to learn about the ferry. A couple of hours left till setting sails off. And one of the "entrance" tracks was already packed. The cashiers who walked around the parking lot sent all the motorcyclists to a separate lane. We put our bikes there and went for a walk on the territory of the nearest camping. It is located on a hill, with it a beautiful view of the pier and the sea and mountains surrounding us. From afar, our ferry was seen hurrying to pick us up.
