Enveng's Istanbul Trip #8 - Emirgan Grove 🍃

in #betterlife3 years ago

Hi Steemians 🍃 The groves are a good point to escape from the noise of the city to the birds calls. There are many groves in Istanbul, including historical mansions. It is wonderful to find both nature and history together. I visited to Emirgan Grove 🌿 This park is located on the shore of the Bosphorus in Sarıyer. Actually, the Tulip Festival is held in this park every year in April 🌷 but unfortunately, I just went to this park so I didn't join this festival. There are Yellow Mansion, Pink Mansion and White Mansion in this park. These historical mansions were built in the 1870s.

This is Pink Mansion. You wouldn't have guessed if I hadn't told you the name of the mansion 😆 Isn't it so cute? 🌸 I wanna tell about history of this grove. The grove was gifted to an Iranian Emir by the Ottoman Sultan in the 17th century. What a gift 🤩 This grove has changed hands many times over the centuries. Generally, something that is given as a gift is not given to someone else 😝 Maybe they sold it to someone else and not as a gift. At least, the last owner of this grove is not someone or a family, but the whole people 💕

This is the Yellow Mansion. There is a restaurant that has a great view. I took a break to eat at this restaurant. In the photo below you will see the great view of this restaurant. This restaurant is run by the municipality of Istanbul.

There was a lot of variety on the food menu. I wanted to taste something special. I chose the meat pasty of the palace (Turkish-type ravioli). It was one of the specialties of palace cuisine during the Ottoman period. I liked its taste 👌 Afterward, I drank Turkish tea in our traditional glass cup.

There is also a wonderful lake in the grove. The lovely ducks are swimming in the lake. You can see every shade of green.

Here you can find whatever you want about nature. Various tree species, lake, Bosphorus view... Also, there are walking tracks, jogging tracks, picnic areas here.

If you look at this photo carefully, you can see the Bosphorus bridge in the photo. Considering that this grove has an area of 47 hectares, you will find great views for photos as well as many areas to have an enjoyed and restful time.

Now let's come to my other favorite part: animals 😍 You can meet seagulls almost everywhere in Istanbul, this is very normal. We also see crows very often. Of course, it's a great experience to see it up close. It was this lovely squirrel that surprised me 🐿 This is the first time I've been this close to a squirrel. it was very exciting. I handed her/him a walnut cake and she/he came and grabbed my finger with one hand and took the cake with the other. I was pretty happy with this communication 🤗

As a result, it is a grove in the center of the city where you can have a great time with nature and animals. I've been here a few times and had a great time. I would recommend it to everyone 🌾

I hope you all enjoyed reading my post.
Thank you for visiting my post and reading my Istanbul trip experience 🌳

Gerçekten çok hoş, teşekkürler 🤗💕

My son, Edward, has a way with animals too.

Wow, nice friendship 🤗 the photographer captured this amazing moment well 👍

If you choose to have children and have a son, I hope that you can share in the same pride I have for my son.

It's so precious for a son or daughter to hear that. I hope that one day I will have a child (give birth or adopted) and experience that happiness. Nice photo, btw 👍

I shake my head sadly when I think of your generation. You have been told lies that to be happy, you need to have a career, or go clubbing, or any of the other distractions to avoid creating a truly happy life. I am sympathetic because my daughter is roughly your age (she was born in 91) and hasn't found a way to establish her own roots.

I was guilty as anyone when I was in my twenties. One of my friends married his high school sweetheart after his first year at university. I was his best man, and I was terrible because I was the type to tell him to hold off. He was much wiser and got married anyway. I was confused by women who wanted to get married as soon as they graduated, instead of building a career. I know now there is a lot of "lonely" in a long successful career.

Sorry I forgot to answer this. It's a good comment. Thank you very much for your comment which is based on your experiences 🌺

You mean "Mantı", right? I remember eating that! :)
