What is the best part of autumn?
During what season do you feel most productive?
If you could go to anyplace on earth this moment, where would you go and why?

☺
keep going :)
The best part is bonfires. I procrastinate equally in all seasons! I think I would go to Israel to see the Holy Land.
nice lettering too!
Bonfires, good answer. At least you're honest with yourself about your time management habits! Better than living in denial. When you make it to Israel, I'm sure you will be inspired in a great way.
Thanks for having a look at these sketches and for your comment. See you on the B&W challenge, @allstarrunner!
If you could run any type of creative art competition/contest/challenge, what do you think you would like to try within the artist community here?
That's a really good question. Probably a contest that encourages participants to better themselves or to improve their IRL communities in some way through art (I'm art-biased). By working in the real world and sharing on steemit, more people are involved. And yet, the finer details of how-exactly-the-contest-would-work escape me...if you want to bounce some ideas off of me, I'm game ☺
I do like fox-tales and the trial-by-comic challenges. You like to ask questions so perhaps a "Get to know you" art challenge. Self-portraits/a day in the life, that sorta thing. But this is your rodeo - what is your favorite type of challenges to do yourself?
Usually I like the simpler steemit challenges, like @helene's drawing challenges. I've been considering doing a self-portrait challenge for myself. Haven't gotten past the considering stage yet. I feel like if I start a contest it might be difficult for me to balance managing it with the other activities and projects I have going on already.
Sometimes I just like to do a bunch of random contests at like 5$ a prize and it be nothing too seriously involved. Like feedback challenges to get people talking in the feed.
Thank you for your guidance @artwatch! And for funding my encouragement. Your contribution will certainly be put to good use. Perhaps all I needed was a (small) fire under my ass ☺
I've never heard of liquid acrylic. I really like the texture of the paint.
I guess I'm most productive in late winter, early spring.
I follow somebody on here who lives in Medellin, Colombia - because the seasons never change and the temperature is always mid-70s. I hate the cold and the dark, so I could really go for that! Culturally, though, both the wife and I would be most comfortable in the south of England. (Not much snow there, either.)
Thanks! I'm not sure yet what makes liquid acrylic better than normal acrylic, but watery media is fun to work with.
Are you productive in late winter, early spring more as a writer or a lumberjack? Or a boat captain?
If you hate the cold and dark, may I ask why you're in New England? Constant temperature sounds great, but I wonder if I'd miss the wild temperature swings of this climate. Do you and your wife enjoy travelling?
I seem to get the most writing done once we make it through the holidays. But a lot of that has to do with working retail during this stressful season. I'm so grateful to be out of it this year!
As for lumber-jacking and boats - it's been a dozen years since I've had a boat and this whole chainsaw thing has mostly arisen from necessity. While it is awfully satisfying to do this sort of work, I don't know as I'd want to have it as a job!
The wife travels more than I do (which is hardly at all) but I might follow her to England for a bit next fall! How about you?
Yes, thank God for retail...
I've been all over the eastern part of the country, but it's been years since I've done any travelling for the fun of it. There's so much I plan to see all over the world, and I think I'd like to start by going to Steemfest 3!
Have you spent much time in England?
Not yet. But Donna has gone a couple of times and may do some school over there.
Have you heard where Steemfest 3 will be? I heard in the US - and I was really hoping for an excuse to leave the country.
I am eagerly awaiting official news of where the third Steemfest will be. Some parts of the US I've visited seem like a different country...although, travelling abroad would be unbelievably fun, especially to meet Steemians. What an experience that's going to be for me - I am GOING to Steemfest 3! ☺
Really liking those close up shots of the letters....
Yeah, me too. Almost reminds me of something Halloween or terror-related. Thanks.
The colors.
Winter is work and summer is activity.
I'd go to Montreal or Japan for a little romance and excitement
The colors, good answer. Particularly if you live in an area where there's a lot of intense foliage color changing.
Very intriguing response, work vs. activity. There is an important distinction you've noted.
Ah, romance and excitement, who can say no to an answer like that. To be swept away...♥
Thank you for sharing!
What exactly is liquid acrylic? Is it like a watercolor that you have to mix?
I really liked the texture of it.
The liquid acrylic I've been testing is Dr. Ph. Martin's Spectralite Liquid Acrylic. I purchased the 0.5 oz sizes and I only use a small amount at once usually since I have yet to use this product for a large project. In the bottle has a consistency very similar to ink.
The texture of it on paper is great. It produces results similar to watercolor, but it's waterproof and lightfast when dry.
Thanks for your comment, @drwatson! ☺
What is the best part of autumn?
The weather. Where I live, fall isn't usually very cold, but it's a refreshing change from summer heat.
During what season do you feel most productive?
Winter. Spending more time indoors means I make more art.
If you could go to anyplace on earth this moment, where would you go and why?
To a mountainside for a change of scenery and fresh air.
Wow those Ink dripping effect is so neat! Did you plan for this or was it an interesting surprise? I'd love to do more painting. The organic feel makes it so poetic!
