How long will you allow @mack-bot to abuse your delegation and flag original content creators?

I was thinking about buying 5000 SP more but now I'm not so confident in it.

I'm feeling vulnerable on this platform.

After 2 years of creating content on a regular basis, all of a sudden guy by the name of @logic decided to classify me as Constant spammer & scammer since I joined the platform.

His basis for that are many family accounts I had access to since obviously, I was the STEEM master in the family and I had to do everything for everyone.

Without a single proof (except his beliefs) he now put all those accounts on automatic flag list by @mack-bot and all of them were original content creators, never spammers nor abusers.

He even went further to put my friend @ocupation on automatic flag list cause he had some SBD exchanges with me throughout the past.

image.png

How long will you allow this lunatic behavior to persist, @ned ?

I'm pretty sure with all the SP you delegated to @mack-bot and @steemcleaners much better things could be done other than flag Original Content creators because of personal beliefs.

Their additional basis to select me as abuser is the fact I used small SP delegation to self-vote my comments 2 years ago, when I just joined the platform:

image.png

Yeah I did it, because I didn't know better. I saw many prominent members of the community do the same... with much higher upvotes

When I understood that my actions are not beneficial for the platform, I stopped doing it... since then, my Voting Power was below 10% most of the time

After receiving big delegations from whales (20 000 SP and more) I was navigating all that SP to help and reward the community...

Right now I'm being wrongfully accused, and without evidence @logic concluded how all my family accounts are my ALT accounts so I can spam rewards.

In reality, that is a big lie. I have rep 70 on this account and I made many connections here...

I'm a part of many tribes such as @tribesteemup @earthtribe @naturalmedicine etc. and I would never risk my reputation on chain in order to farm some small rewards.

I earn ENOUGH and when you consider the daily upvotes I get I'm one of TOP EARNING DOLPHINS on the platform.

Can someone give sense to this @logic guy? I had intents to travel the world and propagate about STEEM but right now I can't even post comments???

They get automatically flagged!

This is BS. Ned, Steemitblog, Misterdelegation whoever sees this I'm asking you to put some sense in your delegations...

Original content creators can't get abused like this based on belief with no evidence.

And let's be real here, if the fact that I self-voted when I just joined the platform, qualify me as abuser - at least 70% of this platform should be abusers then!

As well, let's not forget how no one ever legally stated anywhere that self-voting can't be done... you buy your stake, you do what you want with it!

Now this self-proclaimed policeman is coming and putting all my comments and posts on auto flag, now that is abuse!

And trust me, I respect many of the actions taken by @steemcleaners. but this is in all truth dirty action against me taken by @logic guy and someone else who got triggered by me speaking up after my GF's account got wrongfully flagged to oblivion!

Why you might ask? Because she was microblogging her story and her quality of posting didn't fit the quality standards put out by self-proclaimed savior groups!

image.png

Then @logic came and concluded how that account was mine, since obviously, she sent me her SBD because she left the platform!

When I told him, okay, you accusing me of being @lolight , let me get her to verify herself then.

image.png

So, as you can SEE ABOVE, clearly I didn't even get the chance to defend myself.

@logic concluded everything without strong evidence and put me on abuser's list!

More details below:

STEEM Flag Rewards Bullied My GF's Account to non existence

Not impressed by SFR VIDEO

As a regular ORIGINAL content creator of this platform, as someone who STICKED HERE when everything seemed like shit, as someone who is INVESTOR in this platform and I do have intents to INVEST MORE

I kindly beg you @ned @misterdelegation @steemitblog or anyone relevant do to something with this situation and help me to regain my trust in the platform..

Please, cause this is not right. All that SP could be used much better than to wrongfully flag Original Content creators that brought so much more value to this platform than what they took

And if we are gonna be 100% real, why not auto-flag all the bigger SP holders who are abusing the platform at this very moment?

Not come after a dolphin like me who conducted few wrong behaviors when he just arrived on the platform, we all know that's proper BS.

Guy I'm honestly telling You, with no salt added, @logic 's emotional behavior towards certain individuals will do harm to this platform, he is not fit for a role big like this. Believe me.

image.png

I never said anything about being woke. He concluded this himself and proceeded to insult me in private...

This is not a professional communication guys. This is a grown up who is emotionally attached like a kid... he can't be the leader of @steemcleaners

There are much more professional individuals on this beautiful chain of blocks who will keep it that way - beautiful.

image.png

@logic trying to insult with the tinfoil hat reference

Even though I said nothing about any kind of conspiracy theory or whatsoever, once again he decided to try and insult me based on his perception of myself. I think that is completely unprofessional...

image.png

@logic manipulating the public by saying how I used patronizing & vulgar techniques on many occasions on many projects, people and channels... is this a joke?

Has this guy been following me like a ghost so he knows it all? Or is he just concluding based on example or two where I reacted like it cause I was wrongfully treated?

There is a thin line between the truth and delusion... but one is for sure, this kind of speech & public manipulation is definitely not something what head of @steemcleaners should partake in!

@ned I urge you to make the right move... OG content creators of this platform can't be treated like this

This is not good for growth of STEEM blockchain! Something many of us are wishing every day of our lives... these are old patterns of centralized behaviors that brought us where we are now, this is definitely not the way to move forward

IMG_20190505_145354.jpg

This is me.

Original content creator of this platform. Verified by 200+ DTube Videos I made

STEEM representative in virtual & real life at the same time.

Brought 100 and more people to this blockchain.

Trying every day to produce better content...

I made some mistakes in the past, but who didn't?

Does that classify me as an abuser? On a decentralized blockchain, sure as hell it isn't!

I don't hind behind username and picture... I don't need to.

I'm confident in my truth.

I will kindly ask you 1 more time to do something about this cause STEEM is a part of my life and I do have intents to keep it that way...

Sort:

I came across @logic on discord. He's rude and arrogant. So this doesn't suprise me. Sorry to hear about your troubles, seems like a lot of these people find their way into positions of some power and then go on some ego trip.

I hope it gets sorted

Highly rEsteemed!

Yes I have seen this as well. An immediate death sentence on a whim is not what these were designed to be. They may be protecting their platform in their minds but protecting it from content creators and investors (the life blood of the platform) is definitely not wise.

Same thing happened to a good friend of mine @jiujitsu. He has been here years, supporting good folks, creating communities and being a real world of evangelist for steem. He created a couple accounts for good organizations and offered to donate them to those organization to help ease the onboarding and give them a little sp to start. Now he has an annoying cheetah post shitting on each of his.

Policing yes but with the ability to defend oneself and get off the shot list if there is a lesson to be learned is what has to happen.

You have my vote and support.

Oh man, what the fuck is happening here?
Yo guys, everyone who's been watching @enjoyinglife 's videos can assure you that he is not a spammer neither a user who should be blacklisted.

In fact, he has helped me a lot growing my account, he has shared unique videos and advises with the community and now you consider him ID thief and spammer?

When I start dreaming about Steem becoming something huge, something like this comes and puts dirty thoughts in my mind.

Please @Steemcleaners , @Ned and @Steemitblog reconsider your actions.
Just a friendly advice from a super active 1+ year user on Steem blockchain.
No offence but you should dig it up further I believe.
Cheers and Resteemed bro so more people can verify what kind of person you are.

Bro try mentioning Ned & Steemitblog as well... XD

Thanks bro, love you! <3

"Oh man, what the fuck is happening here?"
it is actually very simple .

  1. all bot flagging accounts are controlled by steemit inc (no outsider would be insane enough to hold millions of steem just to flag 'spam' here)
  2. they use those accounts to control flow of steem (who is allowed to get payouts)
  3. as price of steem drops , real spammers are gone and steemit inc is now flagging legitimate users in order to generate income for themselves

But no Steem is being held so..... it's a delegation.

Steemit can leech the reward pool without downvoting and driving legitimate content creators away. Downvoting as a tactic to generate income for the biggest stake holder is a really stupid strategy if that's what's actually going on. I doubt it.

Steemit would never drive away people bringing value to the platform when they can just self-upvote to leech a little bit of the reward from everyone.

I agree with what @edicted said.
Why downvote when they can just self-vote?Cause with that tactic they sure are driving original content creators like @enjoyinglife , me and you.Exactly what @edicted said.
It's just like the cops.Give them a gun and a uniform and they will start acting like they own the city.
But you know, they are just civil servants.Me and you pay them.
Some things need to be fixed ASAP in here before the bulls come.
It's gonna be chaotic if these things keep happening when the price starts surging again. It's gonna be a mess in here.

I have some snake oil to sell , wanna buy it ?

Nah thanks.Hehe.
Hope things will get in the right track.
Have a great day man.

where that delegation comes from ? it all belongs to steemit inc

stupid or not they are obviously doing it , don't forget they were recently selling furniture from Texas office to 'cut the cost'

The solution to this problem is fundamental. Steemit.com needs to become its own community, with its own SMT and guidelines and rules for the users. The Blockchain Steem and its current reward pool needs to be untied from the Steemit application.
Should this happen than you would have the opportunity to switch to the Busy or Steempeak community and still be rewarded in Steem. The whole problem is that we are all depended on Steemit.com that doesn't fit with the decentralized narrativ.

Your personal experience is largely irrelevant and undermines your opinion. You'd have to show that @mack-bot brings negative value to the space.

Even if 25% of @mack-bot's downvotes were targeted at people that didn't deserve it that still leaves you with the remaining 75% good targets. From @ned's perspective this is going to be a win, so your tactic of focusing on the 25% isn't going to get any delegations pulled.

Honestly though, I'm on your side. Delegations are granted hastily and there don't seem to be any consequences for corruption. The people in charge here are much more concerned with development than fair governance and content ownership. Hopefully this doesn't backfire in the long run.

The people in charge here are much more concerned with development than fair governance and content ownership.

Lol @ development. Is that why they are years behind their roadmap?

I agree that the governance thing is definitely a joke. STINC has the largest stake, but they decided that it's in their best interest to NOT directly influence the culture.

Instead, they have chosen a half-ass approach where you have semi-functional projects as "community moderation". Yet, they still want most of the control when it comes to politics, etc. Queue the stereotypical scenario:

  1. Development: sounds good! Here's bunch of delegation. No need to be accountable though. Even if the dapp is filled with cesspool of abuse, etc.

  2. Governance: Ahhhh we can't do that. Here's some seed money. Oh, pssss we would like to decide who we like in the background, but will never be involved in any visible issues.

What the hell is the point of being the largest stakeholder when they choose to half-ass everything? And they wonder why someone wanted to fork them out?

Almost all the top projects in the crypto space started off centralized. Even Bitcoin. When the project has a solid frame and foundation, then community jumped on it to further the decentralized work.

This entire chain failed when STINC decided to create a pseudo-decentralized environment where stagnation prevails and the ecosystem grinds on like a zombie. Not quite dead, but definitely not alive.

I'll admit I'm a little out of my element here, but how can you be years behind on the roadmap on a platform that's been around 3 years?

Development always takes at least twice as long as predicted, so no surprises there on my end. They've also started a bunch of projects and not finished them which makes it feel like they are moving a lot slower than they are.

I see the downward pressure of the price action as a good sign. Steemit is selling off coins. If they were competent with their finances they'd have a lot more coins right now, which would obviously be not ideal.

Silver lining.

Post voted and resteemed for exposure.
I think, the steemcleaner etc have their own rules. Maybe you can talk to them on discord?
I am actually with you on this one. And BTW: thank you for your kind vote, and I will keep working hard. @justyy - the author of https://SteemYY.com

Trust me, I tried reasoning with them in appeal channel just to find myself instantly blocked from all channels except timeout and getting highlighted in red color (abuser, spammer etc.)

In that timeout chat there was constant raging out from Logic who was from the very beginning treating me like I did something to him and like he has hard evidence against my case, when in reality he has nothing - just assumption

This is pure power abuse... when EGO's get any kind of delusional power at hand they start abusing it... getting a false feeling of joy out of it

Control freaks thrive by manipulating others to jump through their hoops. They want you to come to their chat app to beg for allowance of your posts to go unmolested to stimulate themselves by abusing you in real time as well as shrouding their actions in secrecy away from the blockchain.

And people wonder why the steem price is plummeting...

Keep fighting! You are not exactly the person they should ban and downvote at all!

Didn't @logic point out something about you leaving short comments on people's posts with a 1% upvote as a rationale to vote yourself 100%.

If so, that seems fairly sketchy on your part. Was that what happened?

If so, how long were you doing and do you have an approximation of the rewards you took from the reward pool during that time?

Does it bother you that while you were doing that there were users working hard to post quality content?

If it is truly as he pointed out, maybe Logic set Mack on you to take back the rewards you had took previously. I don't think that would be unreasonable, do you?

I'm so disappointed with your level of comprehension, you either went in too deep to actually understand what is fair and what is unfair

Or you are just playing your role in this corrupt system...

Whatever is the case, I can assure you, Logic taking 2000 STEEM monthly from Steemcleaners damages reward pool way much more than the damage I applied with my worthless $1 self-votes while STEEM was above $4

They were working hard to post quality content? Great, who told them not to get themselves delegation and upvote it? No one. They could have done it, same like I did it and same like majority of community did it

Some whales back in the time even upvoted their comments with $100 worth of upvotes, why not go after them?

Oh I get it, cause this system is flawless and fair O:)

Yes, I understand that the SC crew gets paid for what they do but they do contain a lot of legit abuse althoy I wished they would

I do also concur that the system is corrupt... perhaps hopelessly so. This is why I often talking about forking the chain if all else fails in our fight against reward pool abuse.

My dream is to be part of a platform where honest hard-working people win. Maybe it's a pipe dream. Right now, this platform is dominated by people working to increase their own wallet at the expense of others.

You know everybody doing something doesn't make it right. Doesn't matter if it is comment farming or vote selling. There is always a conseqequence.

Low effort reward pool manipulators may get a leg up on the relative size of their wallet; however, they may not consider that what they are doing, when scaled, is devaluing that token in the long run.

As for the why don't we go after the whales argument that I have never heard before, assess our collective SP. We deal with what we can. You don't start the game at the final boss dude.

Your steemflagrewards shitshow is one of the worst low quality spamming and reward pool abusing groups on this platform, and it's obvious to anyone who had been following this mess that the ego-centric immature control freaks who have access to the various steemcleaners accounts are drunk with power, deluded with cognitive dissonance, and doing much more harm than good for the blockchain. By attacking lower level content creators you steer even more rewards to the whale abusers and discourage everyone else. Ask yourself, is this a good look for the platform? Is this going to make people want to buy STEEM?

Interesting thoughts but one stood out in particular.

By attacking lower level content creators you steer even more rewards to the whale abusers

That's actually a good point but our vision is to grow to an order of magnitude whereby we will even be able to stifle that abuse.

Part of that vision is recruitment and for that good PR is necessary, of course. We have had some abuse fighters I think that have been counterproductive in that area.

How would you recommend the approach be altered? Glad to hear your feedback. I'm serious.

  • Stop the "follow on flag for steemflagrewards" comments. These comments are spam, add nothing of value, and are the epitome of hypocrisy.

  • Communicate openly and transparently on the blockchain. Stop trying to force people into your private chatroom to resolve issues on the blockchain. We deserve to see how your group manages itself and interacts with the community. Warn users before you start flagging them and include explanations for downvoting criteria. Whatever your views on the reward pool, consider that most people will feel as though you are taking money from them, so approach with care and caution instead of abrasiveness and attrition. Consider that one wrongly placed downvote could turn someone away from the platform forever and yield negative publicity.

  • Stop blacklisting and blanket retributive flagging user accounts. The only downvoting should be done to individual posts or comments that meet specific criteria, not blacklisting an entire user account forever and de-platforming them.

  • Stop subjectively valuing posts. In my opinion downvoting should only be used against plagiarism or explicit spam, but if you are going to subjectively value posts, go after the actual reward pool abusers that make $10+ on shitposts instead of low level posters. Your strategy of trying to grow large before taking them on is counterproductive as you are steering more rewards to them. Taking on the largest abusers will give more power to the smaller accounts.

  • We are pretty close to this actually opting for a token system whereby users can use the vote on more valuable contributions. Not that I think follow on flags comments are nil value but I can understand where people are coming from.

  • The Discord is pretty open but if there was a way to way a more realtime dialogue on the blockchain would be nice. I don't think there is currently an app or dapp that provides such a thing at this time. Warnings do occur but they are rare. It's so easy to reward pool abuse and detection is spotty so that kind of changes the dynamic. That's why increasing the risk profile is ideal. Warnings do little if anything to deter a determined abuser. Loss of profitability does.

  • We currently do not have a blacklist mechanism. That would be @steemcleaners. We are considering one but not to be used lightly.

  • Stop subjectively valuing posts.
  • That's a hard one for me. I mean slight overvaluation I can understand but some of the stuff out there is just ridiculous. Bid bot abuse is rampant and it is not in SC's therefore we have taken matters into our own hands. I eventually want to devise a way to cut out the botters entirely whether it be a a sophisticated front end implementation or fork. I would prefer the former and I may be willing to make exception for those that renounce their botty ways. I think if the smaller accounts band together to build a whale class flag bot and reward bot, we can do something about the whale abuse. Will it ever happen? Probably not.

The blockchain provides all that is needed for communication and most importantly is public, transparent, and accountable. If you are looking for a more robust interface try https://steemreply.com/. It's true that many of my complaints are directed towards accounts like mack-bot, spaminator, cheetah, and other steemcleaners affiliated accounts and they are not responsive to any communication on the blockchain. If they wanted to actually fight reward pool abuse it would be pretty easy to follow the largest bid bot traffic to many posts that are the same low quality that you tag with "bid bot abuse." Their lack of action towards this end leads me to believe they are the ones benefiting the most from this activity either through multiaccounting or selling votes, and the amount of STEEM this group is taking from the reward pool directly is alarming.
