Manic Monday?

I didn't quite get it out though as I was pulled in many different directions and was again today. So, I wanted to share some of the weekend with everyone and hope they enjoy it. Between still being sick, a very sore and itchy back and the you know - WHINING, I'm surprised I made it through with the small shred of sanity I cling to now.

About a month and a half ago, I ordered a super sweet looking hoodie from Andretti's Store. For those that have no clue what that is, allow me to enlighten you. A fellow family member here, @felobtc, has literally set up shop and is selling all kinds of interesting apparel and trinkets. You know, I bet some of the @fiberartists out there might be able to list a few things. I honestly don't know, was just a thought as I was writing this. That's when the best thoughts come right? When you are actually in the moment of another? Where was I? Oh ya, sweet STEEM hoodie.

Ya, that was a blast. Best part was the Batman episode. I'm the kind of guy, I can go into a market with a list of 30 things and be back in the truck loaded with the groceries in 30 minutes. So, to stand in Wal-Mart waiting on brain dead idiotic parents for two hours to retrieve 'needed' school supplies, really tested my patience. Made me realize how patient a turtle is. It isn't fast and doesn't typically chase its food - well, not this little girl here anyway. Meet the Eastern Box Turtle that is now part of our family. Mascot maybe? I don't know, but the girls (especially Luna) are enthralled with her and so we ended up taking part of a day out for a project for her.

Part of our Sunday was spent constructing a 'turtle house' for the newly named 'Princess Sofie'. We took the old snake aquarium and fixed her up fairly well. I feel bad because I made a way to get into the water dish and no way to climb out. (She has a ladder now) I went to check on her about twenty minutes after we set her in to get used to her home away from home and there she was, submerged in the water bowl. Daddy to the rescue. Box turtles must be able to hold their breath for awhile, because I honestly have no idea how long she was in there. So, no harm, no foul.

Now Kitty, I know it's not completely full, but I hope the background makes it something kind of special. I caught it coming up over the lake between the two radio towers and even had the presence of mind to make sure Mars was visible for you. I only have a camera phone, so my night pictures aren't anywhere near what I wish they were or what I have seen. It is still really nice and orange though and I hope you like it! It kept me company during this next section.

I was commanded to go fishing (hence the moon rise photo) Sunday evening as I was one grumpy S.O.B. not having gotten hardly any sleep and a headache that would not subside. That was partly due to heaving and partly due to little girls all demanding to have their way and each way being different than the other's for sake of individuality. So, I went, caught a slew of Largemouth, this particular 5 lb. lunker being the grand prize. So, despite the illness, the weekend turned out ok. Now, I'm looking forward to a great week everyone.
