What is gift giving?

The gift that is offered to someone without any condition and without considering the interests is a gift. We divide gifts into two ways, one is giving and the other is receiving. Giving a gift to a loved one is a joy but receiving a gift from a loved one is a different kind of joy. I love both of these especially when I get an unexpected gift from someone. Gift can also be defined in other ways like Almighty Allah created us healthy and beautifully, it is also a big gift for us. So that’s means gift is that what make us happy, feel blessed, change our face reaction and feel special.

Should it just be for a season in a year? Explain

There is no fixed time for the gift. May be morning or afternoon or night or week or month or year. Any time we can give it or any time we can get it from someone. But we especially who are Bangladeshis love to give gifts for their loved ones on special days. And we love to give them gifts and receive gifts from someone.

My family, friends and my next door neighbors whom I love dearly. We love to give them gifts on their special days like birthdays, or for doing well in studies and many more special days.

Name other opportunities that one can exchange gifts

In this case we can exchange gifts in many ways such as by giving gifts from one friend to another friend. Again by giving gifts from one colleague to another colleague. Many times husband and wife create this opportunity by giving gifts to each other through it. Again out of respect a teacher and student can create this opportunity by giving gifts to each other.

What are proper items that can be exchanged as gifts.

There are no specific items for gifts, I can give anything but it's better to choose according to the person and the relationship. Different people like to receive different gifts. Some may want to spend time with their loved ones while others may want food or something else as a gift. Some people want their loved ones to be good as a gift to the Creator.

And if there is a gift as an object, then it can be of different types. For example, we give gifts like toys, food, cards or going somewhere for the child. Again I try to give gifts to my peers according to their preferences. Again we give flowers, beautiful cards and various useful things to our loved ones. Again, we often give perfumes, watches, chocolates, T-shirts etc. to our friends. So we try to give our parents what they like very much according to their choice, be it clothes, food, or things used in their daily life etc.

What should be the right motive for gift givin?

Many reasons can be considered as the purpose of gift giving. And his main reason is to make him happy and make his daily life more beautiful. But days are passing and our gift giving is also changing i.e. we expect to receive gifts from the other party by giving gifts and really which doesn't seem right to me at all. Because the other party may not have the ability to give gifts. Maybe it will become a big problem for him. So we should give a gift to someone selflessly and without expectation.

Who is qualified to give gifts?

Anyone is suitable for gift giving and It doesn't matter that he is young or old in age. But you have to have a gift-giving mindset that many don't have. Again, money is also a key factor in gift giving. For example, a child who studies well and does well in exams can give respect to his parents to the people of the society. In this case, he may not need money, but it is very important to have the mindset to study and love for his parents.

How should the giver and the receiver feel about the act of givin?

Giving and receiving gifts are different feelings. When we give a gift to someone we love, our feeling of well-being works a lot and the person who receives the gift also feels very happy. And through this the relationship between them becomes closer and sweeter. And in our Islam the giver of gifts is more honored. They are honored with this gift and feel proud and happy.
