Assalamualaikum my dear sweet steemain friends. How are you all my friends? How is your day going? Hope everyone is well & hale.Alhamdulillah, by the mercy of Almighty Allah today I am very well. Dear @lavanyalakshman mam organized a very nice contest which I found very interesting, so I prepared to participate and appeared today. Hope you all will enjoy reading my entire article. Let's get started.

My Unique Skill.

The work that we love and do constantly becomes our unique skills. I started drawing and crafting since I joined steemit platform and gradually I started learning and gaining knowledge about it. To gain our skills we need to learn first and I got that from YouTube and I still take help from YouTube to improve my skills. Today I am here to share with you my leaf crafting skills and before sharing that I will also present you some of my other skills that I have done in the past.

Required Material:

Making process step by step:

Step 1,

• For making this beautiful goat, at first I mannage 2 full size coconut leaf and sicssor. Then I took a whole leaf and cut it to size and lengthwise.Then keep the uneven part of the leaf on top and hold one end and turn it anti-clockwise to form a cross.

Step 2,

• Then grab the end of the long back part. Then turn it clockwise, passing the first part over it.

Step 3,

• Then take another part of the cut leaf and insert it inside the round part and take the open part of the bottom under it and lift it up again.

Step 4,

• I hold the right side of the leaf I just used and insert this new leaf with the smooth side up through the rounded part on my side.

Step 5,

• Now take the left side part and keep its smooth side up and insert it inside the previous round part.

Step 6,

• Then I slowly pulled the four edges of the leaf and made the shape of the goat's body.

Step 7,

• Then I took a small leaf off the side of the leaf that was in place on both sides and inserted the far leaf through it.

Step 8,

• Next I need to make the goat's neck and head, so I start by folding the two pages neatly, first the top of the page counterclockwise and the bottom clockwise over the first one, then again lengthwise counterclockwise and the bottom counterclockwise over the first one.

Step 9,

• Then I cut the top part diagonally with scissors to give the shape of the goat's ears. Then fold the lower parts inwards and downwards.

Step 10,

• Then I turn the top leaf counterclockwise to the other side to give the shape of the goat's face and another leaf clockwise to this side of me.

Step 11,

• Then I wrapped the two leaves around the neck once to shape the goatee's neck and tucked the excess inside.

Step 12,

• Then I cut one of the back two leaves into a tail shape and cut off the excess to give the shape of the goat's tail.

Step 13,

• Then I took the whole leaf that I kept aside and cut it into four equal pieces with scissors to make Chagall's legs.Then I carefully cut the leaves to the right size.

Step 14,

• Then I place these four legs in the right place and finish making the goat with coconut leaves.

How useful it, Where and from whom I learn, why I learn?

These crafts made of leaves are made by us to surprise people and give them joy and entertainment. This type of leaves toys play a very important role in keeping the little ones happy in the house which helps to keep the children away from addicted things like laptops, tablets, mobile phones, TV etc. So these types of toys play an important role in our real life. I have done a lot of these types of handicrafts in my childhood but they were limited to making few things. Since I joined this platform I have expanded my skill set and still doing. I have again chosen this type of handicraft activity based on this platform. And for this I first take help from YouTube for various things. This type of handicraft is neither very difficult nor very easy either. It takes patience, calmness, vigilance and learning to make them and anyone can make them if they can maintain them InshaAllah.
