The Rebuilding Process - Thinking Beyond Wars (Syria)
As the Syrian war approaches what I presume to be the end stages, the aftermath of a long and bloody battle that probably could have been prevented entirely or from further escalation needs to be addressed early. Rebuilding Syria is one of the few major means of redemption for all parties involved in the interference as well as the glaring incompetency of the UN in handling the War.
The priority placed around the very act of conflict along with the end result carries far too much weight than what is also a very important step - the rebuilding process. It seems countries that suffer from proxy wars and unnecessary interference are all but left on their own when the conflict finally subsides.
Away from the migrant crisis that has carried the bulk of media attention since the wars began, rebuilding will be a long and tedious process derived of any political drama - hence a reduced media attention, which is all the more reason why ensuring that a strategic plan to ensure successful post-conflict rehabilitation is enforced.
The Return of Migrants
Those who seek to return home after fleeing the violence must be encouraged to do so by ensuring they have something to look forward to back home when they do return. Hence, aid efforts must be extended beyond providing food for survival to ensuring that Syria returns to economic prominence.
Protecting Minorities
Minorities must especially be encouraged to return in other to prevent a demographic extinction. Even with the end of wars, vulnerable minorities should be protected by the international community with strong policies in place that ensures a right to their survival. If the goal of war is to spread fear, the rebuilding process must ensure that the fear mongers do not succeed.

Rebuilding is the most important part and it’s rarely done right. Problem is the foreign powers that meddle never get to know the people because they are on 9 month trips . Then just when they are getting to know things and people their time is up and they have to go home .

Would be good to see it come to an end. What ever side of the fence you stand on war is never good but sometimes it is needed to force change. The rebuilding process will most likely be carved up with some added benefits such as oil.
They need new ecopolitical system. Thats the only way to normal human life.
No other choice.
If they stay the familiar, old, sh.t system, the parasites can grow again, and the people loose again, and again.
-Militarism... =/
Let's hope people stop fighting...
But yeah, there is a lot of money in war and possibly even more in the rebuilding process...
Cheers!

The scary part about the rebuilding process is when you look at the controls put in place by the west, and how it alters the people over the ensuing decades. I look at countries like Japan, Germany and now Iraq and I can't say any of them are better now than before they had our brand of rebuilding foisted upon them. Syria might do better as long as they keep the west out of the process.
howdy tonight empress! so I haven't been following the news much lately, is this nightmare really about to end? Most places over there don't get much in rebuilding from what I've seen and man..that place is basically a pile of rubble!
