My point is that no one cares about the hordes of homeless on the street until some refugees are given accommodation. I am not just talking abut the US. It is a poor argumentative position unless she has been spending her energy fighting for the children of criminals and those in foster care etc, she is being hypocritical. It is 'America first' thinking only when it suits the individual otherwise it is, 'Me first' and the America becomes an extension of the me.
The whole public school system is based on the belief that the state must remove children from their parents so that the professional civil servants can mold the children's minds.
The child separation issue is interesting in that conservatives tend to be far more concerned with parental rights than the left. So, the protests are pure virtue signaling.
until attention is switched to the real issues devoid of bias.

This issue of separating families at the border is hypocritical meme of convenience and it's lathered with sparkly propaganda. It is an issue in the place of policy, of a failed Leadership that has allowed the Immigration issue to slide for decades. Because, it benefits the money that finances the Politician's re-election bids.
If Congress wanted the Immigration issue addressed, they would do it... instead it is used as a hot button issue that plays well to the folks back home in the voting districts...
