Like other sucking insects, butterflies also have proboscis to reach the position of nectar as its food is hidden inside the crown and lies between the petals.
In order to achieve that purpose because of the living necessities of a creature, the butterfly has a very long trunk, in excess of the length of its body which is at the forefront of its head between two antenna-shaped mouthpieces.
When the butterfly is engaged to suck nectar, the long and flexible trunk will look for a gap to reach the crown of flowers, the place where the nectar is stored.
The uniqueness, when the butterfly is not in the habit of feeding, the trunk will be rolled neatly, even very neatly as if he has no trunk, not like a trunk on an elephant, which will continue to dangle no matter what the activity
If you never pay attention to butterflies while sucking on nectar, I am very sure if you did not suspect, that the ring is rolled neatly on the muzzle of this butterfly is a trunk that is at rest.
Let to love nature with all the biological diversity, and learn about life from the nature around us
