La Brujería, como el mismo nombre sugiere, es un ‘Arte’ practicado por las Brujas. ¿Por qué se llama brujería y no magia ? pues porque era practicado sobre todo por las mujeres en la antigüedad. Es por ello que tradicionalmente la brujería se asocia a las mujeres y la magia a los magos. Estas mujeres ayudaron a la gente especialmente a otras mujeres de su comunidad en la curación de sus enfermedades.
La Brujería, de hecho, era conocida como “el arte de los sabios”. Se llamaba así porque quienes los practicaban vivian cerca de la naturaleza y curaban las enfermedades a las personas, los que nadie más podía hacer. Como estas brujas vivían cerca de la naturaleza, fueron capaces de descubrir las propiedades curativas de las hierbas y plantas.
