A poem dedicated to all strong woman who manages to smile even in pain, to laugh even in tough times and continues to hope that life will get better sooner.
“Tears On Her Mask”
Millions of people wake up with glee everyday
Doing things that make them gay
But not for someone who always think of a way
To always pretend that she’s okay
Every time she goes out
She always wears her worn-out mask
A smile to put on a show
Even if it’s fake and low
Whenever she hears something
She closes her eyes to pretend not to know a thing
For it has nothing to gain
But scars and pain
No one feels and tries to know
The throes that she’s into
The thousands of emotions she tries to hide
Even if it’s tearing her inside
Yes, she gets tired
But what else can she do
The only way to survive in this life
Is to pretend that everything seems right
