"Gone" - A Story in 50 Words

She closed the car door absently and walked around the empty lot where the house should have been. How could she misplace a house? It's not like the thing had wheels. Yet it truly was gone and the spot where it had stood appeared to have been vacant for years.

When I was writing this story I had The Mandela Effect in mind. I don't know if there's any truth to those claims or not but it's an interesting theory to ponder. Google it if you haven't heard of it.

This story's random word is 'misplace'.

    Yes, I have heard of the Mandela Effect. If there were any truth in it, the implications are mind boggling. :-)
    Your short story, provides a very good opening for a sci-fi drama/movie. :-)
