Kish, Iran ALONE

in Steem-Travelers3 years ago

Kish Island is just one of the resort islands in Iran. Kish is free from foreign trade influences at that time when I visited the Island. Locals can't speak english language mere hand signals will do the communication with us strangers.

Foods some were familiar but good thing I learned the basic of life. My mom taught me basic life skill specially in cooking. The "back to basic'' way of life. FARABI HOTEL is where I stayed for 34 days waiting for my renewed Dubai visa. This hotel will not allow tourists to cook inside the hotel. If you want to spend economically you'll have to cook far from the hotel maybe in an open area from afar.

FB_IMG_1635397557167.jpg These bread we call it in our local dialect "TSENELAS" because of it's shape like slippers. The Farabi hotel will serve this every morning for breakfast with butter spread and goes with it is aromatic arab coffee. FOR FREE.

During my stay in the Island I found friends. We visited places to familiarize and this is one of their piece of tourist attractions. The GIANT ANCHOR.

My first time to meet a Camel. I was like a kid and felt like a kid as well. My eagerness to touch the camel for real. Can't stop myself to ride the camel right away. I was just so happy kid inside.

I have visited their stone house also. It was well crafted as if I found my self in an ancient civilization wreckage.

My lone journey in an unknown culture taught me a lesson to learn the value of respect even more. Every culture is unique and every country has it own laws to respect and abide, I believe that every local in Iran I met has it's own words to label us visitors. We may never heard those but through this chamber @steem-travelers let my profound gratitude be heard. THANK YOU KISH ISLAND for the amazing experience and your sincere hospitality.

See you around @steemians @steem-travelers God bless!

As I understand this story is about a visa-run trip in 2011. And you had to wait for a month in an expensive hotel in a touristy island where food is not cheap, right?

Iran is a marvellous country, everybody said, but ... probably you didn't feel it to the full extent for the reason of the circumstances. Still, you discovered much interesting, as I see.

P.S. Be careful with camels when they are angry. They are dangerous ones - they can trample or bite off a hand or anything. Many violent videos about them - but they defend themselves only - people are often cruel to camels.

@datych Yes Sir, at first when I arrived in Iran I was like surprised because in the Hotel Farabi 90 percent are Filipinos waiting for their visa but still I felt home sick but had to be strong and diverted my attention from feeling lonely by strolling around the island and it was time I'm acquainted with ADELE'S songs... Rolling in the deep. Hahaha I cant forget that song. Anyway the Camel I had no idea the animal will bite? I must be that lucky ☺️💚

I met some Filipinos who worked in the UAE. I guess many Filipinos there. Many foreigners in Dubai, as I know.

Rolling in the deep - a good one.

Adele's last song is nice, it gets tens of millions views every day.

I concur sir, she is a legend.... Many of us were sleepless when the count down started before the release just so love it 🧡♥️♥️💚
