When I arrived on Steemit in 2017, I could have never imagine that a year later I would have reached my goal to become a powerhouse of curation on the platform.

I was just a minnow, with a lot of time on my hand to make music, I took advantage of the bullish run to make more music that I have ever done in my life, gathered a nice pot of gold, and it allowed me to buy a computer/equipment and feed the family.

I joined @dsound created by @prc, that showed me lots of support, and in return I became dedicated to his cause.

To be fair, none of the other curation house (except @Dtube) never got me a single upvote up to that day, which is quite peculiar to me.
There's no point of calling them right now, you know all the biggest curation team already, and this post is not about point fingers at someone.

I am actually thankful that they're helping others, as it's still much needed.

When @surfyogi offered me to become curator for @artzone, it was for me just an opportunity to listen to more music, and help all the amazing artists i met along the way.

Now I am the head of curation for his community, although I don't like to blow my own horn and never mention it out loud, because I see us working all together toward the same goal, and we've steadily reached 10k followers and have become a force to be reckon with.

What's at stake?

We are now at a turning point in Steemit history, a break or make scenario, and I truly believe that the artists of this platform are the pivotal stone of the ecosystem and need to be supported more than ever.

For the last month, I've been now curating from my own account and it has been a very successful experiment, as I've become top curator in the Dtube , Dsound category and top 100 curator on the platform.

It's thanks to some kindhearted delegation that it has been possible, I don't want to name them here, because I don't want them to be bothered in the future by others potentially trying to get their attention, but I am more than thankful for having the opportunity to give back, and empower the artists of Steemit.

There are a lot of talented people here, and they deserve the attention, for this I am fighting on my own everyday, waking at 4am every morning and finding the best content on the platform, just before going to work.

Now, I've never asked anything to anyone, I just kept my head down and I've been grinding my way to where I am.

But I need more SP to make a bigger impact, much more than that.

For those that know me a little, I am very proud human being, and not the type to beg for anything in life.
If I am doing this, it's because I want like all of you, this platform to thrive and survive, and for this unfortunately , there's no other way around, we need to help the artists that post daily, because they are the engine and life of this place.

I am not trying to undermine the work of other organization, but lately the curation game has been determined on who-you-know, and I think it should always be about merit, talent and quality of the work.
