What Is Art By EdgarsArt

I know that the subject Art itself is too large for me to cover in one small post. I could write 5 books and it still would not be enough.
But in the very limited amount of space i still want to touch one thing. What is art in general. Human being can be artistic in many ways. We can create something visual,musical or we can do some other performances. Lately i have been reading some history. About art in particular. I find that extremelly interesting to read about the oldest documented forms of visual arts. Which includes a lot of different typed of artistic behaviour. Paintings,sculptures,printmaking and other types of visual media.
Also i saw that architecture is being mentioned quite often. As a part of visual arts. Which is completelly reasonable and i would be shocked if it would not have been. Even in the ancient times. The way how they managed to build their temples without all the machines we have today is incredible. Even now we find it hard sometimes to match that beauty which was created such a long time ago. Which i guess makes us think about the quality we are putting into our actions. Are we letting the machines do too much?
Sometimes even i have looked at a building,beautiful without a question, yet cold. I do not feel that human touch. And it happens quite often. Usually they are just a couple of nice looking blocks put together. Which is why i am a little bit concerned about art in the future. Machines will never replace a thinking of a human being. At least i hope so.
Would love to hear yout tboughts. What is your definition of Art. What can be called- Artistic behaviour!
