Today i wanted to talk a little about art that shocks. Art which is different. Not the one you are looking up close,being amazed because of the details,realism,beauty,artists skill. The one which makes you go wow. Never seen this one before. Im some ways it can be scary. Just like the one i decided to use as a little example. My tarantula drawing/sketch of a some sort. Something in the middle. Now the meaning was to create something bright. Being black and white still,but to make it bright by hitting the goal of amazement for others. Might be weird in some way,scary,depends on every individual. Some people need really scary ones to have any kind of reaction which is why to be an artist is a tough thing. Tough path,because people are so different and you are exposing all you have with your art. And in this day in age with all the cinema affects etc,to create,to be able to create with your hands originality is a rare skill. Kids nowadays have seen in all,played it all,and in order to still surprise them,invite them to the artworld i think is a tough task. But needed one.

I am not so sure it is a good idea for an artist to focus solely on doing something that hasn't been done before, or to try to shock and use whatever it takes. It's personal, of course, but the results almost always look forced and uninteresting to me. I prefer artists expressing themselves over artists that go hunting for effect.
Oh for sure i agree with you. Just sometimes i think an artist,any artist, goes to that point where the next step has to be taken. If you can evolve you will survive as they say,and sometimes this next step,this development means creating something new

Wow, your bio doesn't lie. I love this.
I look at this and see a hat I could wear. I like strange off the beaten path art. It’s a challenge for me, as an artist too, to step out side the lines. I guess it’s comfortable to stay inside. Great sketch.
