Mexcio Wants To Decriminalize All Drugs

As much as there is a plot to launder drug cartels' money, now the same drive also works in reverse as the paradox has become obvious: profit seeking got us into this sinkhole and is not going to get out of it.

But realistically speaking, the war on drug is one of the best examples ever demonstrating the immutable power of Natural Laws. That nobody can escape personal responsibility and that turning Nature into a casino only works for a certain time, until it all crashes down.

That is precisely why we have to quit banking on natural resources, however most other areas of commerce clearly offer the same conclusions.

So now the plot works backward as there is too much money involved: 100s of billions of dollars being laundered and funneled into the economy. Actually the drug war enforcement costs are about $400bn globally while the profits are close to $700bn .

Indeed what would happen to the latter without the "global drug quantitative easing fix"? One does not need to be a PhD in economics to figured that one out. The counterfeit and pirated goods market is not bad either, and is estimated to generate as much as $1.13 trillion annually. But that will be for another blog.

There is another problem though: where would all the drug dealers do if losing their huge income? Because who says legalization also means that the drug prices would drop considerably. While the drug wars has largely contributed to an increase of structural violence, the end of the latter would fuel even more violence as all those involved in illegal drug trade would try to find ways to make up for their loss of income. Moreover what would we do with all the enforcers losing their jobs?

But this does not need to go that far to grasp that money remain the only real problem. If we wish the transition toward the decriminalization of all drugs, the only option is to end money completely. We, as a society, have painted ourselves into a corner, a model that is now taking us down.

Although utilizing the funds for treatments instead of financing the drug war deception is way better, let's not fall for the lesser evil. Because all these programs will require lots of social workers to assist people in any post drug war aftermath.

But drugs, though cheaper, will still remain accessible, meaning that the need for social workers will also continue to ever climb as time goes by, not to mention that it would benefit bigpharma again.

Our social model is a "near last stage cancer" and now assaulting the all Life Principles. We must return to sanity and comprehend that materialism becomes a disease when not matching the metaphysics of cooperation and empathy. Although Earth Custodians is not a Christian platform, yes, the message of love in the bible (and other textbooks) is for real.

The sooner monetarism will be abolsihed, the faster society will recover from its millennia-old financial abuse, and the less drug addicts there will be as life will become again fully stimulating, and that would of course, resolve low self-estmeem issues going along with any form of addiction.

MEXICO WANTS TO DECRIMINALIZE ALL DRUGS AND NEGOTIATE WITH THE U.S. TO DO THE SAME (5/9/19)

The plan put forward by the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, often referred to by his initials as AMLO, calls for decriminalizing illegal drugs and transferring funding for combating the illicit substances to pay for treatment programs instead. It points to the failure of the decades-long international war on drugs, and calls for negotiating with the international community, and specifically the U.S., to ensure the new strategy's success.

The document says that ending prohibition is "the only real possibility" to address the problem. "This should be pursued in a negotiated manner, both in the bilateral relationship with the United States and in the multilateral sphere, within the [United Nations] U.N.," it explained.

"The war on drugs has been extremely costly, not just in terms of government resources, but also human lives, and it has failed to accomplish its objective," he explained. "Prohibition policies have, by and large, caused more harm to people and communities than the drugs they were intended to eliminate, and they haven't come anywhere close to eliminating the supply or the demand."

"Mexico's president is rightly identifying one of the major drivers of violence and corruption in his country: the prohibition of drugs," Maria McFarland Sánchez-Moreno, the executive director of the Drug Policy Alliance, a nonprofit that advocates for ending the war on drugs, said in an emailed statement to Newsweek. "The next step is to translate words into action, by pursuing both a domestic and international agenda of drug policy reform, grounded in respect for human rights."

"Governments are increasingly finding they can neither justify nor afford maintaining the war on drugs," Hawkins pointed out. "Leaders are looking for exit strategies, as we are now seeing in Mexico."
