If Solar Panels Are So Clean, Why Do They Produce So Much Toxic Waste?

The video below describes a real ordeal: 6,000 acres of raw land and 2 million solar panels... if believing that C02 is bad for the environement, let's think for a few secs of the removal of all this vegetation, which was absorbing CO2, then of the carbon footprints caused by the solar panels' manufacturers... what gives, really?

Then we made a quick search and found out that the disaster in the making was well beyond the extraction of raw materials needed to support the greedy renewable industry.

We found out that the solar industry was paving the way for a next ecocide! Until today, we were not aware that cadmium telluride used for CHEAPER solar panels caused cancer either.

The solar boom is really beginning and prices are falling. This means that CHEAP versions of solar panels are going to be sold by the millions - and yes perhaps billions.

There are 4 solar panel solutions available on the market: one is with silicon which are the least toxic.... then, we have Copper gallium indium diselenide and Organic photovoltaic cells, which have the lowest efficiency rates. The Copper Gallium still is relatively toxic though. (see link the energysage link at the bottom page) .

The cadmium telluride version is the cheapest available. Cheap never means cheap when money involved, we have proven this without a doubt . There always are more incentives in the short-term when good deals and profits make the world go tound, though in the long-term it always is the complete opposite. The price of cheapeness comes with a karma attached, and has to be paid back.

We are speechless in the face of what is coming because corporations got their ways from A to Z again. By the time we hear that solar manufacturers have been lying up to their teeth, it will be too late again.

Despite all the evidence saying otherwise, the so-called expert in the video asserts that there is no such a thing
as contamination by cadmium telluride, the technology is safe and has been tested.

Of course, they were saying the same thing about GMOs and glyphosate. And so many other things.

Sure, we at Earth Custodians cannot disprove the global warming narrative entirely, but we are aware of other factors that MSM will not talk about (geoingineering and solar activity), and that in fact we could be heading for a mini-ice age instead. We also are aware that large scale solutions offered to fix climate change are deceptions themselves...

Hence the necessity to sit on the fence, and look into all possible data. Only gradually degrowing the economy will do, and this until we can organize a shift toward a money-free society. It is money that got us into this impasse, so throwing more money at it, will not save the day.

Renewable Energy Capacity to Grow 50% Worldwide by 2024, IEA Says (October 21, 2019)

The faster-than-expected growth is largely thanks to a resurgence in solar power. The capacity of renewable-based power will rise 1.2 terawatts (TW) by 2024, the IEA report says. This is the equivalent of the total installed power capacity of the U.S currently.
The growth is driven by falling technology costs and government policy, an IEA statement says. Solar power will be responsible for almost 60 percent of this growth, while onshore wind will account for 25 percent. “Renewables are already the world’s second-largest source of electricity, but their deployment still needs to accelerate if we are to achieve long-term climate, air quality, and energy access goals,” Fatih Birol, the IEA’s executive director, said in a press release. “As costs continue to fall, we have a growing incentive to ramp up the deployment of solar PV,” he added.

Solar panels often contain lead, cadmium, and other toxic chemicals that cannot be removed without breaking apart the entire panel. "Approximately 90% of most PV modules are made up of glass," notes San Jose State environmental studies professor Dustin Mulvaney............... “We estimate there are 100,000 pounds of cadmium contained in the 1.8 million panels,” Sean Fogarty of the group told me. “Leaching from broken panels damaged during natural events — hail storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. — and at decommissioning is a big concern.”

There is real-world precedent for this concern. A tornado in 2015 broke 200,000 solar modules at southern California solar farm Desert Sunlight............. Last July, Washington became the first U.S. state to require manufacturers selling solar panels to have a plan to recycle. But the legislature did not require manufacturers to pay a fee for disposal. “Washington-based solar panel manufacturer Itek Energy assisted with the bill’s writing,” noted Solar Power World.

The problem with putting the responsibility for recycling or long-term storage of solar panels on manufacturers, says the insurance actuary Milliman, is that it increases the risk of more financial failures like the kinds that afflicted the solar industry over the last decade.............. Additionally, cadmium telluride panels can be manufactured at low costs, as cadmium is abundant and generated as a byproduct of important industrial materials like zinc. A main concern with CdTe panels is pollution. Cadmium by itself is one of the most toxic materials known, and cadmium telluride also has some toxic properties.
