Bibimbap - Satisfying our Korean Food Craving - Food Photo Shoot
Recently, I’ve been watching a lot of Korean dramas lately, so while watching the main characters in the shows eat in every episode, I’ve been also craving Korean food.
We decided to make bibimbap tonight! (Bibimbap literally means “mixed rice”) It has warm rice and topped with lots of your favorite vegetables, meat, egg, and the bibimbap sauce.
Ingredients for our bibimbap (vegetarian):
2 cups Rice
Bean sprouts
Carrots (sliced)
Zucchini (sliced)
Spinach
Shitake mushrooms (sliced)
2 Eggs (for 2 ppl)
Sesame oil
salt
Bibimbap sauce (see below)
Bibimbap sauce (just add into a small Tupperware and mix, leftovers can be used later on):
2 tbs gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
1 tbs sesame oil
1 tbs honey
1 tbs sesame seeds
1 tsp minced garlic
The longest part was slicing everything!
- Blanch the bean sprouts and season lightly with sesame oil and salt and sesame seeds.
- Blanch spinach and season lightly with sesame oil and salt and sesame seeds.
- Blanch carrots
- Cook zucchini with cooking oil, and season with a pinch of salt.
- Cook shiitake mushroom with cooking oil and season with a pinch of salt.
- Fry an egg per serving (I prefer sunny side up with this)
Place rice into bowl. Then add the vegetables, bibimbap sauce, and egg on top. After taking the picture, just mix everything together and enjoy!
Yummmmy it looks super delicious. I can bet it tastes the same :)
Yes, it was amazing!
