Green clouds broiling in the Brisbane sky - Thor is coming - and I'm feeling creative
The gods of thunder, lightning and storms are descending on Brisbane as I write.
Is there anything better than sitting in a cafe eating lunch and drinking tea while rain pounds the street outside?
Well, maybe sitting at home with a good book, drinking tea while rain pounds the street outside...
But still, this is nice.
It's especially good after the last few days I've had.
For some reason, I write better when it's raining. Maybe I tune into my creative side. Maybe the storm gods reward the creative spirit.
Maybe it's the smell of rain.
Or maybe the electrical pull of lightning.
Whatever. I'm just glad to be in the creative zone. Maybe it's the ozone...
Life is harsh without the flash of inspiration. Dull without dreams brought to life through thought or word.
I am grateful for steemit and the STEEM blockchain, encouraging me to write, everyday. I don't know if I'm getting better. I feel like I am. But the practice of writing surely helps the outcome.
And as I sit here, pondering life and rain and dirty streets washed clean, STEEM captures my thoughts - even as I think them.
How good is rain?
And thunder?
How good is life when simple dreams are realised?
Pretty bloody good.

I lived in Brizzy for a time. I loved the layout of the city, though found the heat quite difficult to deal with. I spent so much time hugging the air conditioner. This is a great picture though.
You say you find it easier to write in the rain, perhaps it's the white noise created by the sound of the rain?
Yeah, maybe, but for me rain is more music than white noise 🙃
