Steem Power! Why I'm Going All in!
Ok.. obviously I do hold other forms of currency and investments.. but right now, I am turning all of my Steem dollars and Steem into Steem Power.
Why?
Because I'm investing in this community for the long term. I know I've only been here a couple of months, but I truly see the importance of this community.
Also, so I can make a bigger difference. Not everyone abuses their power. I interact with minnows every day that truly need upvotes. But it's hard to make a huge difference with a .04 upvote lol.. the crypto crash is partly to blame for the drop in influence
But I see the big picture.. hopefully all of us minnows will grow together, and not just focus on "Hot" or "Trending" posts, but seek out and find the content that needs to be seen.. even if it's created by the weakest of minnows.
Just some thoughts had.. would love to hear feedback!
I've been powering up from the beginning. I'm thinking about selling some to lock in gains. Still undecided.
Locking in gains is always good.. I just haven't gained enough to worry about it yet, and I don't see Steem going much lower than where it is right now

I think steem is probably the best investment out there at the moment. Or at least top 3 anyway.

Yes, I think it will.. or FB will try to buy us out
They will have to pay a VERY steep premium to do that. But, I don't think that most of us are "selling" anyways.

I think I'm going to be making a similar move when I'm in a position where I have some cash I don't need to live. I feel it's better to invest for the long term as a minnow than worry about cashing out my chump change payouts.

I am interested in how this is gonna play out. The current setup of Steemit is aimed at responsible users posting good stuff and helping each other out. With a growth to, let's say, 1,250,000 users, will quality still be visible?
As an example: while I find the FED photo bomber story funny, it must have been posted 40 individual times already. No stopping this and not simple to curate (I do not like to flag posts negatively). Imagine this with 5x users. Steemit in its current form will become impossible to curate sensibly.
I welcome user growth but can imagine that content is displayed differently; perhaps even passing a prefilter to make it to a front page.
Yea I know what you mean.. I'm sure there will changes and updates along the way. We would have to make adjustments for user growth of that size
