Hello!!!

   I am Flare and this will be my very first upload here at Steemit. Here I drew a Blue and Yellow Macaw.

   This was drawn in a 200 gsm Vellum Board using some Staedtler Mars Lumograph graphite pencils 3b, 7b and 8b, and also Staedtler Colour Pencils.

Here it is step by step.

First I drew a sketch of the Macaw with the 3b pencil.

Then I started colouring the beak of the Macaw with black colour pencil and some white for more details. And I use the 8b pencil to darken the gap between the top and the bottom part.

After that I used the 7b to colour the black parts in the Macaw's face.

In the face, I used white colour pencil to colour the whole face and drew some thin black lines that represents the "folds/wrinkles" in the Macaw's face.

Then I used yellow and yellow gold colour pencil for the yellow feathers that the Macaw has.

For the rest of the body, I used olive green and green for the head, and light blue for the most of it.

Finally I used some more light blue colour pencils to finish up the wing.

This is my drawing with the original version.

The only problem I encountered here was that the back part of the body near the wings has that feathers that are kinda scattered leading into some small issues. And also since I started drawing from the head down to the wing, I made the mistake of drawing it too high meaning that I have to make some adjusments in and add some more feathers to balance it. But in all case it was great.
