Hehe that is one cute and sturdy snowman. And it is so nice that Mr. Snowman can last the whole year through and possibly forever too :) it is a brilliant idea too to put a stick through. Thank you for sharing this with us :)

Thank you marblely! :) I'm hoping that this snowman won't melt before next Xmas! :D

Hehe I don't think he will melt but he might get squashed accidentally :D ? May I ask, why do you paint it black first, and then the glossy gray? And how did you make the sand stick to it? Is it the gray paint that sticks the sand?

When I put the clay into the oven, I burnt the damn thing. Not supposed to come out black. First time that happened - typical, as I was filming it for a video! Haha! :D So, I primed the snowman, to see what I was doing before adding acrylic paint. I painted PVA glue to the areas I wanted the sand to be stuck.

It's a beautiful snowman, I'm super coquettish, I loved the colors you used to give it life, and that effect that is achieved with the blue color is your body is wonderful, I really liked your video see the whole process of its creation was very nice, a big hug @dramamask

Sounds like you may have a snowman fetish! Haha! :D Thank you for your kind comments! :)

Thank you maquemali! :) The polymer clay snowman is a relatively quick and easy project for everyone to do! :)

Yes it seems to be, would like to try it sometime.. i dont have a polymer clay here right now.. would play dough be just fine? Will it be as sturdy as polymer clay??

Posted using Partiko Android

Playdough would be ok for practicing. Not sure how long Playdough lasts for though. I haven't used that stuff in years. :D If you want the figures to last, then polymer clay is probably your best bet. I tend to make models and then make molds from them, so I can cast them in resin, concrete, etc.

Hmmmmm.. that could be the problem hahaha.. yea I better find a polymer clay for more sturdy figures.. thanks!

Thank you very much, Steemitboard! :)

Great tutorial! I like your voice and speech. You speak clearly and slowly so that it's easy to understand you. I was surprised to see that it came out black. And then you said that it's burned and with bubbles. How does it come out normally? Do you know already what might have caused it?

I like how you were shaping the snowman. You included a lot of detail.. also with the painting. It looks great and I would never guess that it's black underneath the color :)

Thank you very much! I thought my voice and speech was bad and even started using a computer generated voice for my videos recently, but had complaints. Haha! :D I think it was my dodgy oven which caused the burning and it is a kind of camping oven. You should be ok with a decent oven, which I had no probelms with before. The clay should come out the same colour as it went in, just hardened of course.

Thank you for your kind comments! :)
