My Classmate the Headswoman

An uneventful shift at work had me scrolling down the news feeds on Facebook when i stumbled upon an article that was both shocking and hard to swallow, i felt a surge of energy and my heart was pounding as i swiftly browsed on the news and did further research until facts were verified, and true enough someone i knew back in high school has just committed a gruesome murder. I've heard of classmates who were imprisoned because selling drugs but this was a first and there was nothing like this until now.

The name on the news would take me back 14 years down memory lane during my high school days where i crossed path with a particular girl who stood out in class, her name resonates the entire school and to everyone that knew her as one of the privileged students on campus with a bit of an eccentric habit.

Aleli Yap came from a prominent filipino-chinese family who owned several businesses in our small town and are also involved in politics,currently his first cousin is our city mayor.

Aleli was your typical rich kid, pampered and provided by her parents,she was almost very well respected in class only if it wasn't for her habit of pulling her hair and eating the white ''sheath'' around the root of it,a mental disorder known as Trichotillomania and Tricophagia. This incessant habit had left bald patches around her head resembling close to that of a cancer patient on chemotherapy, resulting to occasional discrete taunting from her classmates and covert jokes directed towards her for fun, this odd behavior made her a notable person in high school. Despite her condition, she projected a normal and calm demeanor.

Fast forward to present day when she is now infamous for the alleged murder of her housemaid (Richelle Sagang) along with two other collaborators.

Reports say that on the 12th of January 2017, three suspects were seen on a CCTV footage accompanying Sagang to their village guard house and reported her for alleged theft,where she had already suffered violence,some of her hair cut off, bruises and contusions covered by makeup so as to appear hidden from plain sight.

A security guard told the investigators that he saw Sagang and the three suspects leaving the security office in a BMW, and that he heard Yap saying they were going to return Sagang to her manpower agency.

Later that day, Sagang’s headless body would be discovered in in a town of Sta. Maria, Bulacan where it was dumped, while her severed head found floating on a creek in Makati City on the 14th of January, both body parts separated approximately 92 Kilometers away from each other.

The Police filed murder charges against three suspects, The Department of Justice has also issued an immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO) against Aleli and the local city government has put up a P100,000 reward for any information that can lead to the arrest of the victim's killers.

I have recently came in contact with a couple of friends from high school who confirmed the news and mentioned that our classmate is still at large and her whereabouts unknown.
