in #soccer6 years ago

A. Anas is a Ghanaian investigative journalist that's reportedly known for using undercover journalism and undercover television to conduct investigative work surrounding corruption in various places.

Because of his work there are dozens of judges and other state workers who have lost their jobs over allegations of corruption. He has also helped to expose corruption involved with the football administration in Ghana and more.

One journalist who had been working on a team lead by Anas, Mr. Hussein-Suale, helped to previously expose a high-ranking FIFA official as being corrupt. Recently, he was assassinated; shot dead by gunmen on a motorbike.

He had been shot three times by gunmen who had attacked him while he was on his way home from work.

The investigative journalist organization that he worked for that's known as Tiger Eye Private Investigations has called on security agencies to try and help to unmask the elements behind the attack; help expose the truth of what happened.

So far, the police reportedly haven't made any arrests over the incident.

The investigative team that Hussein-Suale had worked with vowed that they wouldn't be silenced by the attack and they're expected to continue their investigative work that's recently been focused on allegations of corruption within African soccer. Their work has implicated many, from referees to senior officials.

The last project that Hussein-Suale had allegedly been working on for the Tiger Eye PI group was related to a soccer documentary.

Now, Anas has recently vowed to step up their investigative fight against criminals and murderers. He believes that the attack might have been intended for him, they allegedly receive death threats on a regular basis, but that hasn't stopped them yet from continuing to do their work and they've vowed to continue.

Previously, numerous FIFA officials have faced accusations of corruption, involving multiple countries, and some have been jailed for their actions. Various individuals have been caught accepting bribes and worse. It's alleged that corrupt individuals within the system had essentially transformed it into a criminal enterprise; the corruption has been ongoing for decades.

It’s even worse, @doitvoluntarily. System of sports was conceived as a criminal enterprise from the very beginning. You have a documentary movie on history of Olympic movement here: “Olympic Flame” (60 min), made by Ljubodrag Simonović, former top athlete and philosophy PhD.

So the corrupt try to hide the truth and will go to any lengths to do so. Sad for this man's family.
