Homeschooling Community Doubles Over Last Decade

in #school5 years ago

A growing number of parents are looking to give their children something different, a more unique and individually-tailored educational experience, by opting for homeschooling instead of the the alternatives. In Utah alone, it's estimated that the homeschooling community has at least doubled over the last decade.

It could be for a variety of reasons, whether it be a military family that moves frequently, or a family that has children struggling with severe illness or allergies, a fear for bullying or potential violent attacks at school, homeschooling just gives families more options so that they can build a life that works for them and speaks to their own needs.

Back in 2003 it's estimated that somewhere around 7,000 children or more who were being homeschooled in Utah, compared to a much larger group today estimated to be at least 16,000.

The truth is that homeschooling is on the rise in a number of areas, at least in countries where families and individuals still have the freedom to choose their own educational path.

For those families that have been able to establish their own path, it has helped to bring them closer together and homeschooled children have continued to dissolve the myth that they cannot be properly educated or socialized, that this misconception couldn't be further from the truth.

I am waiting for the day when you start writing posts about

Govern-cement school closed due to lack of attendance

Too many people homeschooling their children have left XXXXX elementary with too few children to keep the doors open...

With the amount i know now about fake history, fake math, fake english, fake science... that they teach in school these days, i feel it would be better to not have the children learn anything.

Of course, homeschooling is better.

i tottaly aggre with you. a school that train "soldiers" smart enough to operate machines or whatever but stupit enough so never question authority, is not somethink we need.
only advantage of school comparing with home learning is socialisation with other people.

@doitvoluntarily Another decisive factor for this to happen is the bad teaching that organisms offer.
Thank you very much dear friend for spreading this news
I wish you a great day

wonderful news! I wonder when in my place, or at least in Russia we will see such results...now homeschooling is still not popular, less than 10% of parents use it, in my cuty there're only rare exceptions too. I am among them, and there is no support at all, only pressure.
