The business end
Here's another one for #vehiclephotography today.
This particular cone is one of five main exhausts from a Saturn V rocket. At Johnson Space Center in Houston they have a place called Rocket Park, which is basically a giant shed with a Saturn V laying down horizontally inside it. It's free and open to the public, and except for when a museum tour passes through there's no one else there. I spent an hour and a half there last November just taking various detail photos of the rocket.
You can't take tripods and flashes on the museum tour, but you can take them to Rocket Park, and I made full use of them. This was an experiment with combining two exposures made with a single flash in different positions in order to get even lighting; I think it worked pretty well.
