Learning Greyscale / グリザイユ画法

I didn’t get to draw at all last weekend.
Sorry...but I had to binge watch One Piece haha.
This is the update of what I’m doing.

週末は全くお絵描きが出来ませんでした。
というか…やる気、全くなし！笑
日曜日はワンピースを一気に見て終わりました。
なので今日も雑記です。

Well, as I am learning about digital drawing, there are always these very mysterious looking tutorials popping up here and there catching my attention.
Although, I always thought that my skill wasn’t quite there to open these tutorials.
It is one of many ways to draw digitally and it is called Greyscale.
You would be drawing with different shades of grey then adding colour to it later.
I love drawing in grey and black and white already as you can see in the photo above.
Those drawings are not done in the right way of Greyscale at all...it was just me not being able to finish haha but it made me think that this might be it!
So here I am taking a lesson on Palmie (Japanese drawing lesson online)...but I found that the instructor explains how to do it a little too fast.
I can’t catch what she is doing on the screen :(
I searched “greyscale digital drawing/painting” on YouTube and it was the same.
They talk so busily and along with the time lapse video makes me too dizzy 😭🤣😭
Anyways, then I searched greyscale in Japanese and found the tutorials below.
The videos are not edited in time lapse.
Actually, they are not trimmed at all!
The author talks as he draws and it is really nice to be able to see how to draw in action.
I’m at #3 right now.
I’ll continue to watch the rest and hopefully be able to try.

デジタルでお絵描きを始めてから、気になっているお絵描きの方法があります。
グリザイユ画法と言うのですが、名前も見た目もミステリアスでとても魅力的なのです。
グレーで明暗を描いて、後から色をのせる描き方です。
私はデジタルのお絵描きを始めたばかりですし、まだ無理かなと思って手を出さずにいたのですが、気になる気になるw
もともとグレーや白黒で描くのが好きですし、よ〜し！と挑戦することにしました。
今、受講しているパルミーの講座の中にあったので早速！！！
が、、、講師の先生〜画面よく見えないよ〜笑
そうなんです、デジタルお絵描きのチュートリアルって、どんな操作をして描いているのか、早すぎて見えないことが多いんです^^;
描きながら説明してくれる先生なら良いのですが、パッパッパっとこんな感じでやってます〜ではわからんよ！笑
ということで、YouTubeで “greyscale drawing/painting” で検索しても同じ…というか、タイムラプス動画を見ながら説明されても、目が回るだけです^^;
“グリザイユ画法” で検索したらとっても良い、楽しい動画を見つけたので紹介しておきます。
ノーカットで描きながら説明してくれるので、とってもありがたいです。
私にも描けるかなぁ〜やる気出るかなぁ〜笑
