The notebook will be renewed (a little) in the next big update of Windows 10
Not long ago some of us demanded a renewal of the notepad of Windows 10. The tool for taking quick notes has not changed since its inception more than 33 years ago, but soon we will see relevant changes in this development.
These developments will not affect the user interface, but some options of this basic editor, which will soon improve your searches or integrate the ability to zoom in on the text.
Small updates but welcomed These developments are linked to another important change already detected in May 2018: end-of-line support of Unix and Linux (LF) and macOS (CR), which until now had to copy and paste text from those operating systems in the Notepad was a small nightmare especially for developers.
The new notebook will appear in the next major update of Windows 10, which is now known as Redstone 5 and will appear before the end of 2018. The notebook will not be the only one to introduce improvements, and for example screenshots they will also win whole with an update that will allow to continue fine tuning the behavior and options of this operating system.
