Color Challenge - Tuesday Orange
Hello, Steemians!
Today I introduce you Nasturtium which has a very cute name in Romanian: Lady's shoe. I received from a friend, a seed bag last year, and sowed some seeds in the garden, near the curb-stone, and in a pot that I placed it in the yard, near the entrance to the kitchen.
Besides being a decorative plant in the garden, it also has the role of combating pests or attracting them. Eliminate white flies, ants and attracts, like a trap, the aphids.
The leaves and flowers of this plant are edible and can be added to a salad. The leaves have a slightly peppery taste, and the flowers are aromatic.
It is rich in vitamin C, B1, B2, B3 and contains manganese, iron, phosphorus and calcium.
I like this orange tangerine color, but Nasturtium has many other colors one of them being red, as the poet says:
''lone red nasturtium
Glows like a star
This Christmas day
On top of the wild
Woodbine plant''…
