An Introduction - Pure Newbie Saying Hello - Diddy Wheldon

Hello Steemians 

I must admit I have been on the platform a few weeks,  reading up on the rules, watching videos for good pointers of how to start etc, and well this is my first ever blog post ever, so I hope it gets your attention and I have done it right !

My name is Margaret Wheldon but most people know me as and call me Diddy a nickname I acquired at my first ever job at the tender age of 15 as a Sound and Lighting technician in the Theatre, so seeing as everyone else was at least 6in taller than me - to them I was Diddy or basically Small so it kinda stuck as a name,  joke and 30 years later here I am.  

I am a crypto enthusiast - I really started to take notice about 7 months ago, when I came across Amanda B Johnson talking about dash, she really broke it down for me without the tech speak, and probably many others to be fair, which I appreciated.  I then came across Trevon James @trevonjb talking about Bitcoin and have followed his amazing journey in the crypto sphere ever since.  Adam Meister @bitcoinmeister was my next find and that was it I was hooked. I will delve into my crypto story in more detail at a later date, I have just started Genesis Mining using Trevon's 3% discount code lol cheers mate ! - so I will be keeping track of my progress, and sharing it all so that should be fun !

I live in Nottingham in the Midlands in the UK, its famous for being the home of the outlaw Robin Hood, who I am sure you will have heard of.  Now that is a topic all of its own, the number of Actors who have played Robin Hood !

I also like to paint, I was not trained and its more of a when in the mood kinda thing. I currently paint on my Ipad using Sketchbook, for me its a cheap portable canvas that can go anywhere with me as long as I have battery power, There is no mess and not having to carry mountains of equipment around is a bonus, I am all for the light weight travel if possible.  

I was extremely lucky at one point a few years ago to have a number of paintings that I did of American Sports Stadiums, be shown in a Gallery in Galena in the USA.  Below is an example of one of them - Wrigley Field Open Day 

However though my first ever sale was a self portrait bizarrely, this one !

I currently Act a little for TV and Film in the UK just small bit parts and have been doing so since 1989, you can find me on the IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1246133/?ref_=nv_sr_1#actress .  

I also act in Murder Mystery Events around the UK, mainly weekends. I was both the Murderer and the Murdered in the last one ! 

I love Craft and make items out of Denim mainly bags, braclets, cuffs and watches again I am sure I will share some of these creations with you later on also as it would be good to get some opinions. 

I have been teaching myself Alto saxophone for the last year, and I know I have a long way to go before I am as good as I want to be, but for the moment I am just enjoying being able to have the time to play.  I am sure the neighbours would probably disagree - lol it is rather loud !!  I also have some tracks on Sound Cloud and ITunes that I did a few years ago. 

I love camping when the weather is fine, travelling, anywhere really, horses, yoga, good food, but I don't drink alcohol, I stopped in 2005 after a stint working on a Princess Cruise Ship as a Production Manager, and for medical reasons, but I do advocate the use of medical marijuana and I just love Cheech and Chong.

I also have a very rear passion for Mental Health and of giving more support for those who struggle with these problems, and also helping to demolish the stigma and certain prejudices towards it. We have a long way to go and I am delighted that the Royals in the UK have decided to back mental health and help. 

I am a member of the Women of Dash on Slack and have met some wonderful people on there, I even got chance to earn abit of Dash too which was awesome - a massive big thank you to the girls on there @thebigcat @tante-stefana @connecteconomy @subspaced @stellabelle @marionjoe @stellabelle 

I must warn you all though I am very random and consistency was never my strong point, so I probably won't post daily but will do my best to post more often than not.
