Our dinner, sapi petai kecap and also second supper, nasi uduk!

Hello, friends and also all foodies!

I don't know whether your country has it or not, in indonesian we called it pete or petai, or the cool name 'parkia speciosa'. It have an authentic smell, some said the smell is peculiar. And for sure the taste is fresh, a kind like edamame for me. Many said it has many benefits.

And tonight, we had a special dinner, i ordered the sapi pete kecap or in english soy sauce beef stirred with petai. Like usually, i ordered it by an application, but guess what today the service was a bit dissapointed. I ordered from a legendary old chinese food restaurant here, Akoen. Not all the chinese food restaurant sold this menu. The price was around 65,000 IDR or around 4.64 USD (the delivery charge included). Fortunately, the dish was amazing.
How it looked like

The taste was savory and sweet. The beef was soft and easy to swallow. The petai were so fresh. It was extraordinary. I invite you to try petai if you come here in Indonesia.

I also wanna share our foodie experience last night, we had a second supper at around 10 pm. I ordered the nasi uduk (coconut milk rice) with fried chicken, the rice noodle and also the nut tempeh. They also gave sambal (of course), here how it looked like

The chicken was not too large, which was great, it supposed to be ayam kampung. It tasted savory. Nasi uduk also tasted savory. The sambal terasi (spicy chilli sauce with shrimp paste) was great, it was spicy and savory. The price was just so so, not an expensive one. It was only around 50,000 IDR or around 2.8 USD included the delivery charge.

I also invite you to try nasi uduk if you come to Jakarta, Indonesia. This one is a traditional dish from this area.
