The Key to Happiness?

Do you ever wake up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror and hate the person looking back at you? Do you ever scroll through social media and wish you were that person?

We all feel this way once in a while, it is normal. We are all guilty of comparing ourselves to other people, whether it be about how much better they look, how successful they are or how many friends they have. But that never gets us anywhere.

Living in a society that is constantly telling us and forcing us to be a certain way, who can blame us? Comparing ourselves to other people will never lead us to happiness, only hurt and upset. Comparing yourself only lowers your self-worth.

Never compare yourself to anybody. For all you know, the person you are comparing yourself to may be on a completely different chapter in their life/journey. Instead of comparing yourself to that person, use that desire to be just like them as motivation and inspiration.

Happiness is found when you stop comparing yourself to other people.

We all have our strengths and weakness, no one is perfect and we all have special qualities, that is why we are all unique. The only thing we can do is to work on ourselves and work on our dreams. Once you focus on yourself and stop looking at other people and what people think and expect you will start to feel happy and free.

Start appreciating and respecting yourself more, you are worth so much more. Life is too short to be comparing ourselves. Live your life the way you want to live it and be who you want to be, not societies expectations.
