Apricot and Cream Sponge Dessert

Ingredients
Sponge/flan cake
Apricot in a can with it's juice/syrup
Almonds
Watermelon Fruit preserve
Milk
Sugar
Corn Flour
Vanilla Extract
Ingredients for Cream
4 cups Milk
4tbsps Sugar
4tbsps Corn Flour
3 drops of Vanilla Extract
Method for the Cream
Blend the cornflour and sugar with a little of the milk, and put the rest of the milk on to boil.
Pour the blended corn flour, sugar and milk into the boiled milk, stirring well.
Cook for 2-3 min. Cool.
Stir in the vanilla essence.
Method
In a Pyrex add your sponge
Pour the apricot syrup evenly over the sponge
Add the apricots
Pour the cream
Add the almond shavings and watermelon fruit preserve. Or add any toppings you like.
