Startrails at Emerald Lake
Emerald Lake Lodge
Yoho National Park, British Columbia
Been a busy couple of days for me and I haven't put the time I wanted into Steemit for commenting and sharing, but I have a huge post coming soon about my experiences with the total solar eclipse last summer - stay tuned for that!
In the meantime here's a photo I took outside the famous Emerald Lake Lodge in the Canadian Rockies. I left the camera exposing for a couple hours while I went and had an awesome dinner at the lodge bar. Multitasking!
This is awesome! I love the way you got the reflection in the water.
It's true, the reflection makes all the different. Thank you! :)
Phenomenal shot, in so many ways. Resteemed!
You're awesome, @photofeed, thank you!! :D
Totally agree! Had to resteem too!
:D
Awesome!
Question, did you cover up your camera with some branches or something to hide it from possible thieves? Or is that not something you have to worry about in Canada? ;)
Thieves? What are thieves? Is that like a Robin Hood reference? Maybe I don't understand because I'm Canadian?
Haha
lol! Those friendly Canadians...
Great shot! I like it :)
Thank you! :)

Alright, that's a near perfect photo. Amazing work, my friend. You got it all. Water, reflection, a bridge, a lit subject, mountains, stars, trails, color. You name it. It's like a Thomas Kinkade but if he was born in this generation.
LADIES @derekkind has it all... i mean his pictures do.
There are ladies on steemit right? Haha
Wow. Can I print your comment and stick it on my wall? That's awesome!
Alternately, can take this out of context and share it on my farmersonly.com profile like @jarvie suggests?
In all seriousness, I love Thomas Kinkade, and I really appreciate my photo being compared with his paintings in any way. I wish I could take more Thomas Kinkadian photos!
Haha yeah go ahead. I've always wanted a quote of mine to be on somebody's wall!
And like I said, it really does have that perfect setting with a balance of light that paintings have. Such a great one.
Hehe, thanks! :)
Brilliant shot, love the reflections and star trails!
Thank you for commenting, Keith! :)
This is absolutely stunning photography.
Hey, thanks! :D
Love the photo with the star trails they look so good.
Thank you. :)
Stunning! Thanks for sharing & love that you were having a delicious dinner whilst your camera was capturing this ;-)
