Steemit Learning Challenge-S21W1; Frozen Shoulder"
Greetings to all friends!
I am delighted today to wake up strong and fabulous.Today I am ready to participate this season 21 w1 learning challenge. I feel this topic to be very interesting, useful and amazing. After learning, I was move to carry out my homework tasks. Please read down as I explained what l understand about this topic.
Frozen shoulder is a term used to describe a condition where by one shoulder is joined gradually. In other words, it can be termed as adhesive capsulitis.
For proper understanding, frozen shoulder is a condition that is commonly caused by adhesions, inflammation, thickening, shoulder joint capsular restrictions, and age-related changes which are mainly for old people with a history of diabetes. Since frozen shoulder is among the aga related change, it is frequently notice or observed between individual of 40 to 60 years and above.
From what I learn in the week course, I came to realise that frozen shoulder is divided into four stages. The frist stage occur when there is a significant pain in shoulder movement especially during night hour. In stage two, it is also known as the freezing stage where by a patient has intense pains even while having a rest.
Over this move to stage three which is the frozen stages where by individual received pain during movement but there is a significant stiffness and limited range of motion, such an individual may experience difficulties in daily life activities and muscle wasting in the shoulder..
The next stage is thawing stage which is stage four of frozen shoulder. This stage allows gradual improvement in mobility and may take roughly 15 to 24 months which is (1year five months to 2year). To fully regain movement, and some in cases there is always residual pain.In this stage some patients are unable to regain Rage of motion.
Also note that we have two types of frozen shoulder the primary and the secondary type. I am also familiar with it different phases.
Frozen shoulder can be diagnosed in numerous way, it is all about meeting expert in this particular field of study. The first thing I know is that your doctor will perform a good physical examination to assess your shoulder mobility and check out for sign of pain or shoulder stiffness. It is advisable for all individual to seek prompt medical attention on each sign and symptoms we experience on daily basis.
I also know X-ray to be good option which helps in ruling out other health condition like fracture or arthritis. Other investigation tests like CT scan, MRI, Electromyography(EMG) and tests like speed test, yergason test can be carried out to get more details pictures on the soft tissue around the shoulder.
Evaluation can be done on an individual's range of motion be it active or passive range of motion and even shoulder strength. When a medical doctor carry out clinical evaluation, physical examination, clinical investigation and assessment test, this will help in proper diagnosis if it is truly frozen shoulder or other medical health condition.
In this week practical season, I want to start with shoulder flexion with a wand. In this exercise it requires broomstick or any stick which helps in the flexion of our shoulders.
WAND SHOULDER FLEXION
The second one is shoulder circle which is performed in forward and backward direction to improve muscle of the shoulder.
SHOULDER CIRCLE.
The last one is cross body stretch which helps in the improvement of the posterior part of the shoulder.
CROSS BODY STRETCH
I performed this exercise on my body, if you can see the video closely, I was already sweating which means there was a free blood flow in the region and my entire body. I like different types of exercise because it helps the body to stay fit and have good health.
After this exercise, l realised that l had free body stiffness around the region. I also enjoy this exercise because it is very easy and cost effective. We can use it in recover from any health condition and also do the same to people around us.
I must commend our instructor @ashkhan for this week learning challenge, lt is extremely helpful to me as an individual and my family as a whole. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us for free without consultation fee,I am deeply appreciate you.

Observations
Task 1 (2.9/3)
You have shared a great knowledge about frozen shoulder, types , stages, and treatment. But you forget to add the phases of frozen shoulder like other users again. A bit more depth require to complete the answer. I appreciate your effort.
Task 2 (2.8/3)
In the second question, you tell us about the physical examination, investigations, past history, evaluation and treatment. But it would be better if you add special tests speed test, yergason test too. You answer this question well. Great.
Task 3 (4/4)
You try the shoulder circles, wand shoulder flexion, and cross body stretch in a good way. Remember always apply heating pad before performing these exercises. I appreciate your efforts.
Overall you made a great attempt to answer all the questions. I appreciate your efforts. But next time try to avoid the above written suggestions. Keep learning and try to implement your knowledge to the people suffering from any shoulder pathology or you suffer from such condition. Thank you.
