Visitors ~ Stripes and Patches
No, no! I'm not talking military stripes and patches! I'm talking about the furry kind..cats! The Tabby cat has a lot of stripes which is the theme this week for #smartphonephotography. The white and gray cat has gray patches but he also has some stripes in his tail. I noticed them coming around our house a few weeks ago. My husband thinks they have or had owners that let them out or abandoned them which is just sad to even think about. I think they may have owners as they look quite healthy. I'm not encouraging them to hang around but I won't be mean to them either. I've already got my hands full with the three (Fluffers, Syl and Baby) that practically live on the porch. The Tabby won't come close but the other one did come pretty close when I called to him. I gave them some food away from the house. They ate and left but I still see them around occasionally. We had one really nice day last week and I spent the afternoon sitting on the front porch enjoying a Corona or two. The three girls spent the time with me and enjoyed the sunshine and extra pets!

Thanks so much @ecs!! :)
Thanks so much @pixresteemer!!
I certainly hope they were not abandoned. They are lovely! And yours look very content!
Thank you @melinda010100!! I hope not also! It was nice to sit outside for a while if only for an afternoon so far! :)
Adorable cats. They are great company. Nice to see you can enjoy sitting out on your porch. Not quite warm enough here yet.
Thank you @redheadpei! Winter returned the following day and it's been cold since. Hopefully, it will start warming up again soon! :)
Are those 3 mostly black cuties girls spayed?
Thanks Mike! They aren't and I almost wrote about that but decided to keep it light. They do get medication that keeps them from going into heat and so far it's worked pretty well. They get it once a week. I'm hoping that when my husband's settlement comes in that we can get all three taken care of. I could do TNR with the county but they will clip their ears. I really don't want that to happen to them. I may talk to them anyway and see if they would make an exception.
I had my Vet neuter my cats, She gave me feral cat price rates. She also wanted to clip their ears but I talked her out of it.
That is great! I don't know if the county will go for it but no harm in asking I guess. I was outside yesterday and they were following me all around..just look at this Baby girl!

That is why I have eleven. no mas!
Cuties!! I love cats!
Thank you @chelsea88!! ❤
really interesting where did those cats come from
Thanks @tali72! The three black ones are strays but the other two I am unsure about. They may belong to someone in the neighborhood or could be strays also. I've been feeding and provide shelter for the three black cats.
they were very lucky :)
What very beautiful kitties @deerjay! 🐱
Each so pretty, I really like the 2nd photo
from the top, he looks very wise and mighty,
also love the black cats, love em all :-)
I was reading the comments and this is
the first I've heard of ear clippings??
Wow how and why?
Thank you @shasta. They call it ear tipping. They use it on TNR cats which stands for Trap, Neuter, Release. It's a program in some cities and counties to control stray and feral cat populations and colonies as opposed to putting them down. Some vets will only tip/clip the very top of one ear but others will take off half an ear. It shows that they have been "fixed" and released back outside.
Beautiful cat images @deerjay It is hard not to feed animals when they come looking for food even if they do look healthy. 3 cats of your own will keep you well occupied I imagine plus keep you lap warm in the winter if they enjoy a cuddle. 😊
Thank you @trudeehunter!! I usually feed the outside cats at least twice a day. Sometimes they meow just cause they want pets..lol! :)
They obviously know where to go to get 💕 love and attention @deerjay. I miss having a cat 🐈 around the 🏠 house but unfortunately we live in a unit so it’s not possible.
