Market Friday ~ A Few Must-Have Items For This Weekend!
I had to head out to the grocery store this morning to pick up some must-have items for this weekend!
Can you guess what a few of those items might be? It's for a certain holiday that falls on March 17th. That's right! It's St Patrick's Day! You don't even have to be Irish to celebrate it although I do have more than a wee bit of Irish in me. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by this Leprechaun display with lots of different bakery items.
Can't forget the cabbage and potatoes!
Oh my! Just look at those grapes! They aren't on my list but they look great and are on sale. I guess you think I'm going to go for the green ones because of St Patrick's Day but I'm going with the red on this trip...no offense to the green grapes. 😂
I think I'll pick up some Baja Blast for my son. It only comes out for a limited time here and he, completely, missed it last year. I don't drink soda a whole lot and I'm more of a Dr Pepper fan but I'll probably try a Baja Blast.
Now on to find the, possibly, most important item and that would be the corned beef. Gotta go with the flat cut.
I think that's everything so I checked out and headed home. Time to take inventory!
Corned beef and cabbage! ✔
Potatoes and Irish soda bread! ✔
I even got dessert! ✔
One last item! We won't be drinking green beer here but we will be drinking beer! Not an Irish brand but it's St Patrick's Day so we'll just say it is..lol!
Now, I'm off to find me a nice Leprechaun 'cause I sure could use me a pot o' gold! 🍀 😁

Getting all the supplies in for Paddys day I see, I dont think I have ever tried a Baga Blast and now I seldom have sodas, but maybe one day I will try one

I very seldom have soda now but I do treat myself occasionally with the new one Coca Cola has bought out a small bottle of Californian raspberry coca cola its quite nice i must say

IT is really nice I buy a four pack of the small bottles and try to make the last two weekends I do not do soda otherwise

That was, indeed, a very spirited Saint Patrick's Day post mixed with little market Friday! Thank you so much for joining us and including us on your shopping trip. I am glad I ran into you because I forgot about the soda bread! Can you believe that?
I also prefer the flat cut of corned beef, unless my mom is making it and then she makes a big honking one! Enough to feed half of the Irish Army. There's never any shortage of food when she was behind the pan. I have actually never heard Baja Blast, but, like you I rarely drink carbonated drinks, so it doesn't surprise me. But if it's on sale! I'm in!
I agree that the red grapes are especially delicious and being they're the same price that makes the decision even easier. You don't live that far from me but your grapes are cheaper. Boo hiss! No offense to the green grapes but you just hurt St Patrick's feelings.
I think those cream mint cookies look pretty good which brings to mind that I don't think I did a very Irish dessert, but it's still early. I say that we peel off a Corona and raise our glass to Saint Patrick! Thank you so much for being a part of Market Friday. I appreciate all the time and effort spent in putting this post together!

I wish I had gotten two loaves of that soda bread. It is a small round and is delicious!
Flat cut is the best and sorry my grapes were cheaper..lol! Sometimes they are not very sweet but these were very good.
Cookies were good as most cookies are ;) but wish I had thought to make grasshoppers! Oh well, corona's are always good especially with a little green lime! 😉
Oh, Cheers to St. Patrick, indeed! I toasted him with green beer and Baileys later. Oh, I was feeling me oats, I was! :)
The flat cut was delicious and yes! Those cheap grapes always taste better!!! And yes! Grasshoppers would have been a nice addition!I haven't had one in forever and a day!
I did end up buying the soda bread because I didn't have time to make it. I need a St. Patrick countdown list on what to do and buy! (I actually have one for Easter, Fourth of July, all birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas! LOL)
