Hello my dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are doing well and writing your posts on this platform nicely. So, let's start today's article, which is about my upcoming trip that I am going to take with my office friends in the month of August.

First of all, I would like to tell you why we planned this trip. The thing is, my friends and I work in the corporate sector, and it rarely happens that we get continuous holidays officially, which is happening in the month of August. So, we all decided to apply for some leaves in August and also take advantage of the public holidays to make the weekend longer. This way, we will get a full 10 days of a long weekend and we started booking everything for the trip.

Such times bring difficulties because this is not just a long weekend for us, but also for other corporate people, so everyone must have thought of the same plan, which increased the travel cost a bit. Without wasting much time, I immediately booked all the tickets for trains and flights for the six of us, which cost around 50,000 rupees. The hotel booking is still pending, so we divided the tasks among ourselves. I handled all the bookings for travel, and Esther and Yuvraj were given the task of hotel booking.

Then it was time to plan what to do in those 10 days. Three days will be spent traveling, so we will have only six days to explore. Some people had to return early, so we scheduled the return flight a day earlier to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with our families.

Planning on Map

All of us sat together and planned where to visit in Kerala. After a lot of discussion, we concluded that on the first day, we will go to Kochi and visit Fort Kochi. Then the next day, we will go to Munnar to see the beautiful tea gardens. The next day, we will visit Thekkady to experience Kerala's culture. On the fourth day, we will go to the famous Meenakshi Temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, which is known as one of the most beautiful temples in the world.

After visiting the temple, the next day we will go to Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of India, and visit the Vivekananda Memorial. The next day, we will go to Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, and from there, we will visit the nearby Kovalam Beach.

After exploring Kovalam Beach, on the last day, we will go to Alleppey to enjoy the backwaters and houseboat experience. The next day, we have our flight back to Ahmedabad.

This is how we planned everything, and we have booked the hotels and other arrangements in advance. However, if there is anything else that I should cover in my trip, I would like to take suggestions from you all. If you have ever visited these places, you can guide me to make this trip even more memorable. I would especially like to take suggestions from my friends @jyoti-thelight and @shravana, as they are from that area and might have more knowledge that would be very useful for me.

Thank you

Sounds like a great trip. but I feel 6 days will be too little to see all these places. In fact, I would have excluded Cochin from this trip and concentrated on Alleppey and Kottayam because if you haven't traveled by waterways in this area you miss something. If I was on your team I would have suggested traveling in one state at a time. You will enjoy your trip but that's gonna be too hectic. But now you have made your program I wish you all the best. Have a nice time. I hope you will keep reporting from your travel sites.

Thank you for your insights! I agree that six days might be too short to fully explore all these places. Focusing on Alleppey and Kottayam sounds like a great idea, especially for experiencing the waterways. We all planned to cover all the beautiful sites in one go, but I think you are right—it will be hectic. Based on your suggestion, I tried to skip some places to make our trip more peaceful. Once again, thank you for your advice, sir.

You start making special bookings for a 10-day trip, some responsibilities for trains and flights are shared by your friends. If you talk about it, you had to travel in a different way during that time and what you had to do during the trip, you had to travel for three days, you had to search for the remaining six days, and if you talk about others, then one day you had to hire a rickshaw in India. The common festival is Raksha Bandar which is also a festival where sisters tie their brothers and I am very familiar with this because I live in Pakistan and here Hindu people are like that. If you talk after seeing the rituals then you have to travel in the month of August and enjoy the best trip.
