If you are one of the people new to this community on steemit, you might get some answers looking at this list.

  1. https://steemstats.com/#!/ There are some stats here, I use this tool to understand what creators are doing well in the community and how to time my votes in order to increase curation returns. Nothing too strict, more like a playful thingie.

  2. Steem Powered Websites - one of the great articles useful for newcomers that @dragosroua creates .

  3. Utopian - One of the most exciting projects built around the steem blockchain, a community that works on open source projects funded through steem

  4. https://steemnow.com/ - not so user friendly, but one of the easiest ways to stay on top of your voting power percentage

  5. https://nhj7.github.io/steem.apps/ - directory of steem apps

  6. http://steemtools.com/# - directory of steem apps maintained by utopian (I think)

  7. https://steemit.chat/ - Most early discussions were taken in discord or on slack, but communities have soon realised a more scalable solution is needed, one of those is the steemit chat. There are still many communities active on discord.

  8. https://steemit.com/steem/@yabapmatt/a-guide-to-investing-in-steem-through-your-ira - Awesome guide for investing through steemit, based on curation rewards or delegation if I understand it right.
