Day 73- Five Minutes Free-write. Prompt: Green Droplets. Title: New Beginning.

She gently pushed open the door and grinned at the back of the crouched figured by the farthest end of the room, who was shaking off green droplets of paint from the bristle brush.

He sensed her, and turned, “You weren't supposed to come in until it dried...the smell isn't good for the baby.”

She smiled, and headed over to where he was. “This is beautiful,” She whispered, staring at the murals he had painted on the white-washed walls.

“You remember the first time, don't you?” He asked, getting up. Holding both hands behind him, he placed a peck on her left cheek.

“The mistaken delivery,” She shook her head and smiled, “How can I forget...”

“Yes, and I thought I'd add in on here,” He said, gesturing to a wrapped gift-box painting on the wall. “It’s our beginning, and now, still is a new beginning for us...in sight of a new life...the beautiful life we created...together.” He planted a kiss on her bulging stomach.

“You never told me you liked poetry,” she smiled trying hard not to cry but failing at it. “I'm sure they'd love it,” She blurted, stifling her tearful laughter with a cupped palm.

“They?” He asked, confused.

“Yes...we are having twins.”
